Rocking Crab — Restaurant in Temple Terrace

This place has amazing food all the seasoning for the fried food is amazing the sauce that goes in the crab boils is also tasteful! I've never had a bad experience here regarding my food what I will say is after going there frequently I recently stopped visiting this location on a Day to Day because my drinks started to taste different the liquor started to taste cheaper and cheaper inside of the drink that I would normally get I started to quickly notice that the liquor that was used to make my FREQUENTLY ordered drinks, seemed to be a cheaper wells version other than what's listed on the menu... I'm a DRINKER / PARTY GIRL! So I know my liquor and I know when I'm being played that is my reason for not ordering drinks here anymore I continued to go because the food is always amazing but as this play Grew things started to become annoying because the owner of this location literally does micromanaging I've never been in a restaurant where a OWNER is micromanaging every single employee she literally breathes down their necks walks around all day as if she does not trust the customers or the people that she hired it's never a smile on her face it's more of an angry look when she approaches at that point I stopped going inside to eat and just started getting to go orders I feel sorry for the workers that work here because I could not work under a owner that is micromanaging everything that I do. other than that it's definitely a great place for food! as for drinks I would say beware of the liquor they are actually using in your drinks VS what's listed on the...

Dear Restaurant Management,

I am writing to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided by Miyah during my recent visit to Rocking Crab with my family. As a single mother, I have been consistently impressed by Miyah's kindness and understanding in accommodating our needs.

However, there was a disappointing moment during our visit. We had been watching the football game, but unfortunately, it was not visible from our table. Two of my daughters decided to move to an adjacent table to watch the game, and while doing so, they inadvertently occupied a table that was not reserved. At this point, a server who had not been our primary attendant that evening yelled from across the dining room, asking my children to return to their seat. I felt this interaction was unprofessional and detracted from our overall experience.

Fortunately, Miyah's exceptional service during our stay mitigated the negative impact of this incident. Her dedication to ensuring our satisfaction prevented us from leaving the restaurant unhappy, despite the inconvenience. I would like to acknowledge her hard work and commitment to providing excellent service.

We spent approximately $200 during our visit, and I was prepared to leave the restaurant dissatisfied due to the final interaction. Thankfully, Miyah's professionalism and courtesy during our stay balanced out the negative experience.

I have never ever been more humiliated than I was tonight at this location. The manager/host Nikki is highly unprofessional and problematic. Instead of addressing us in a more classier manner she constantly picks and demeans us. We have been returning customers for years now and I find it very frustrating that she cannot respect us as consumers. She constantly walks through the establishment telling everyone’s business and discussing topics that do not give mindful at all. Every visit she has a different injury and I do believe this may be the reason why she is having a hard time maintaining her composure or possibly using her communication skills more effectively. We are paying customers just like everyone else is and I feel discriminated against. Everyone was having a great time. As we went to pay she inquired to a friend of mine why are they always so loud in front of customers that were entering and waiting to be seated. She stated that others made complaints about our table and rather asking us to lower our voices she preferred to address us in front of the entire restaurant.
