Where do I begin? Lets start with cleanliness...park is always littered with everything you can think of. Even used condoms which is disgusting since it is literally directly behind an elementary school. Said school has a clean up program but they can't keep up with the amount of waste that gets left behind. It's ridiculous. Fishing here sucks too. Nobody is considerate when you fish and also there is nothing biting anyway except turtles. The bathroom is never clean. And hardly ever has toilet paper. Always graffiti in there too. The boardwalk needs a 100% remodel. It's falling apart and becoming a safety hazard. 3 out of 5 because the city is slacking big on the maintenance. And because of the used condoms being a regular site in the parking lot as well as in the grass by...
Read moreBeen going here for almost 30 years as I grew up here. Always love seeing the newer families enjoy themselves. The whole time I've been, I've never had a single bad experience with people, or the environment. Trails are great, and yeah this is Florida, expect BUGS ya darn yanks! Sometimes there's trash left over from birthday parties and kids, but hey that's y'all's responsibility to clean up after yourselves like someone who hadn't grown up in a barn, but it does get taken care of. The park has been updated multiple times, and the kids area has cool little water features! I remember coming here for a park festival with my grandma and I had such a good time all around. Love this place and hope people who go here take pride in there local spots by being...
Read moreI love Riverhills Park, and always have. What a gem to have in my Temple Terrace neighborhood. The back entrance to the community park is right down the street from my house. I've taken family photos there, walked the beautiful boardwalk a million times, and had both of my kid's first birthday parties there. There's an awful lot of wildlife on that little boardwalk - ibis, Muscovy duck, squirrels, and mallards that will all eat out of your hands becauase they've been fed so much. Ive seen tons of gators, a few water moccasins, and even a pair of coyotes. The park is clutter-free with tennis courts, playground, picnic areas, a boat launch, and a community garden. We are so blessed to have this in asset in...
