On Friday September 20th 2024, myself and an army veteran like myself decided to go to this place to have an experience, since I've lived in the middle east Syria to be more specific in my youth days, there was a young man about 5'8" kinda stout, I asked if they had any sheep meat in they native language, this kid thought it was funny to mock my accent, he proceeds to tell me in arabic that bakara (beef) was better, and if not to get dajaj (chicken) and then started to make the chicken sound, as he tried to embarrasse me I front of the clientele I loudly asked him infront of his family members and staff if he was a jahash (mule), the rest of the staff was surprised by my response, from which a beautiful young lady took over and treated me with so much respect, I think that the owners of the place should put that young kid on check, I don't know if he did it because of my background as a blackman, or whatever the case may be, and I say this because I've noticed that the black community in Tampa needs some cultural and societal adjustments, he always needs to be respectful, especially if guests are coming in for an experience regardless of beliefs, and yes I'm a born Muslim US army veteran. Food was ok, the young lady who took over ( Aleppo girl), and her friend from (Daraa), were amazing, thank you ladies for the correction and...
Read moreI recently had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I feel the need to share it. From the moment I walked in, the service was subpar. I placed my order, but the cashier seemed completely confused and ended up giving me the wrong meal. When I tried to explain the mistake, she just shrugged it off and said there was nothing she could do, insisting it was my fault for what I ordered. I found this response not only unhelpful but also incredibly frustrating.
To make matters worse, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was shocking. There were flies buzzing around, which made me question how well they maintain hygiene. The tables were sticky and clearly not wiped down, and the seats looked just as neglected. It was an uncomfortable environment, and I couldn't stay any longer.
Given the poor service and the lack of cleanliness, I really cannot recommend this place. It's disappointing to see such a lack of care for customers and their dining experience. I definitely won't be going back, and I urge others to think twice before visiting!!!!! I also want to mention I paid over $60 for 2 plates, excluding any drinks. Not sure if she over charged me. There’s much better shawarma around this area for...
Read moreOk so I've been reading many of these reviews and find some are overly exaggerated and some are just wrong. I have personally been to countries where they boast about their shawarma being the best. But Syrian Shawarma in Tampa is by far THE BEST Shawarma I've ever had. So if you go to a shopping center for your dinner don't expect it to be the most amazing atmosphere nor the best customer service. They do what they can to make a clean and decent place to eat and they have counter service to expedite the ordering process all to come at a savings for the customer. Honestly, they could have a fancy place all done up and awesome servers, but I wouldn't care about that if the food wasn't good. HOWEVER Syrian Shawarma has incredibly delicious food. I mean the wrap around the shawarma is crispy and the beef or chicken is hot and seasoned so well, it literally felt mind blowing. How can a quaint place like this serve THE MOST AMAZING food? And don't even get me started on the kibbeh stuffed with beef! Absolutely delectable! This place is one of those hidden gems, where locals come to have excellent food! Why haven't you...
