Full disclosure: we're already huge fans of Tijuana Flats, and love their food! This was my first visit to the Tampa location, but I wasn't disappointed. It was as awesome as expected. We ordered a total of 6 tacos (3 hard, 3 soft, 2 chicken, 2 steak, and 2 beef), and all of them were made to perfection. We were Door Dashing, got two orders here and decided to grab lunch while we were already here, being as we both love the place already. I'm glad we did because the tacos were amazing!!! The food was fresh, delicious, and perfectly put together! The store was clean, sanitary, and as cool inside as you've come to expect from a TJ's. The staff was courteous, friendly, fast, and professional. It was a perfect visit, worthy of a great review!
Covid-19 Considerations: Masks are worn by all employees and guests. Social distancing is practiced and encouraged for all guests in line. Seating inside adheres to social distancing as well, with all guests being seated a minimum of 6' apart. Outside dining is available as well. Tables are sanitized after each guest, and hand sanitizer is readily available for all guests to use. Door Dash delivers Tijuana Flats, offering a 'no-contact' delivery option.
Door Dash info: If you deliver food, this location is great for accepting orders, as we took a total of 4 deliveries from this location that day. All 4 were prepared very quickly and had us on the road ahead of the pick up times.
In summation: This Tijuana Flats is one awesome representation of the franchise! Highly recommend!

Read moreWell I'm a driver and I was in there picking up food like I usually do. So one day last week I went into the store, got my order off the shelf, and all of a sudden I heard someone say, did you confirm that order? It just surprised me so I didn't respond at first. So I looked back and it was an employee saying did you confirm that order. She said, I need to see you confirm it, which I had already did. So she said that I was acting like a little b####. At that point I asked for the manager and she was very nice (the manager). She told me that the girl had a bad day and she apologized and asked me did I want anything to drink and I said no thank. Well on Thursday I had another order same girl with that nasty attitude. She did the very same thing. I asked to speak to her boss and I asked him for corporate number. He said that I had to go on the website. At this point I asked for his name he said Josh. And then I asked for her name he said Liv. Well at this point she's bagging up food and then she tossed the food aside and started heading towards me as if she's going to fight me or hit me. So Josh held her back. Josh is supposed to be the general manager but he's condoning her attitude. Of course I called corporate and have nots gotten a call back from them yet. So I had another order in there today which is Saturday and it was Liv who ask me was I picking up an order and I showed her my phone. So another employees told me that Josh does not want me in his store anymore. So they condone employees acting that way. I would not be going back in...
Read moreFantastic service here! The employees have great personality that match the college environment and they are always coming to make sure you are took care of and or need refills. On my experience my girlfriend ordered a burrito with no beans and the cook that was explained by the manager in training and new and was being tested with newer tasks. Happen to make the mistake of putting beans in the burrito by mistake. One of the employees took the order back to have it corrected and everyone was really nice and understanding about it.. the manager brought back the food and apologized about the mistake and explained what was going on in regards to the error made.. he even offered a item to make up for the mistake and my girlfriend doesn't normally ask for anything especially if it's a minor mistake. She asked for another desert as she was having a bad day and she asked if they could make that happen if it wasn't too much... And to our surprise the manager was extremely polite and understanding and did bring back another desert item and when he came back he said "this is the I'm sorry dessert" as he cracked a chuckle. And that to me truly shows that management and the employees care about their customers. We have been so accustomed to the Carrollwood location but wanted to try the university location to give it a chance since it is also close to home and we were extremely satisfied with the experience.
