Little Caesars Pizza — Restaurant in Tennessee

I'm not one to give bad reviews, however I'd give zero stars if at all possible. While staying in a hotel for a weekend getaway for my children and I we actually visited this Little Caesars location 2 days in a row. My daughter loves their crazy bread and we don't have one near us. Ok so to explain the 1 star...it wasn't the food, the food was good as usual buuuut the manager was absolutely ridiculous to the customers AND the employees. Friday night they were extremely busy and I thought to myself he's busy and frustrated and maybe that's why he acted that way (regardless of the situation a manager should NEVER speak to anyone the way this man did) he was even cursing at his employees and the entirely full lobby could hear every hateful, demeaning word he was yelling at his employees. Then we returned Saturday evening and they had a few customers not too busy and he acted the same exact way. A customer in front of me brought to his attention that he was over charged and didn't get the correct change back and instead of apologizing and trying to make things right he literally looked at the man and said 'how do you know' and the customer explained the situation and the manager rolled his eyes, opened the cash register drawer and slammed a $5 bill on the counter and said here and stomped off. He then went to the kitchen and started yelling at his employees for not getting the food out in a timely manner. A nice young man who works in the kitchen, who was also bringing food to the counter as it was finished, ALWAYS had a smile on his face despite being yelled at the entire time I was in the store. He was the only nice and polite person I encountered on both visits. No one deserves to be treated the way this man treats his own employees and...

I do not usually do this, but I had made it my goal today to do so. Today, we were expecting snow so I decided to go to Little Caesars. As I entered, I noticed, it was a few customers waiting but I continued with my order. After the young lady with red hair (my receipt says her name is Emily but I know working in fast food sometimes you have to get on a person’s register if they aren’t able to at the moment) I couldn’t help but over here the conversations in the back. They were short staffed, and it was definitely many orders. I could tell she was getting overwhelmed but myself and other customers waited patiently. What caught my attention the most was we heard her and her coworker in the back preparing orders and I overheard her say, “Well I care. We have all these people in the front and they need to get their food.” She came back up, although I can tell she was frustrated she was still in good spirits to the customers. I applaud her so much for that. I was in fast food for 6 years and I don’t think people understand the emotions that come with that job. Especially if the shift isn’t going as expected. After I received my other and grabbed my son, I wanted to make sure I left her a review on how great she was. This little Caesar’s has its ups and downs. Used to be my favorite and we’d get pizza from here about once a week. They didn’t recover well after the 2019 flooding, and 2020 pandemic didn’t help either. Food was always 45 minutes past when they would say it should be ready. And that’s no exaggeration. I’d skip a month and go back, then when it was 45 minutes late again, wait 2 months, and so on. Several months ago something changed. Suddenly the food was on time, and fresh. I don’t know if it was a change in ownership or management, but it was a big turn around. And it’s not like it should be rocket science — it’s formulaic pizza. It’s been great the last several times. Unfortunately, on my most recent trip, they were 15 minutes late, it was overcooked (ironically!) and the Extra Most Best Pepperoni I’d ordered was just an over cooked standard pepperoni, unlike the amazing EMB’s they’ve given the last several times. I’m hoping next time it will be as good as it’s been most times lately, but I’m going to give it a couple weeks before I go back. I’d love for them to be consistent. I’ve long been a fan of Little Caesar’s and I’d love for them to keep my business.
