Do NOT listen to the bad reviews. Those people saying anything negative must be brain dead. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this gem around 2 years ago. Being from Southern California, I’m extremely picky with my Mexican food and have been to multiple locations around Knoxville where I have not been too impressed. We were trying to yet again find a new place. I was googling different places and just happened to pick Mexico Lindo out of indecisiveness and frustration. Best decision ever. The people that work there are so friendly and just on top of everything you need. Just such a great vibe in the place. I believe we got the fajitas for two the first time we went and now 2 years later, we never get anything else, although I’m sure anything on the menu is spectacular. The chicken and steak in the fajitas is seasoned so good it makes me want to lick the cast iron skillet it comes out on. The onions and peppers that come with it are grilled to perfection without being overcooked. Every time we go, we are just in disbelief over how good it tastes. I swear it gets better each time we go. They have recently expanded and added a bar area and the new updates look so great. I am so happy for them and all of their success as it is most certainly deserved. I love seeing the family work together and seeing everyone pitch in and help each other out. Best Mexican food in Knoxville BY FAR!! Everywhere else is just mediocre. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. You will be so...
Read moreI ordered Togo over the phone. The lady seemed nice but when I asked how big the small queso was her answer was I don’t know sweetie not too small not too big so I went ahead and ordered a large ($7.99) as well as white chicken enchiladas ($11.99)and steak fajitas ($16.99)My total was $41 and some change. How I’m not sure. Anyways I left a tip. They said it would be ready in 15 min. I arrived at the restaurant and waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged, they were alittle busy so I was understanding. I waited about 5 more minutes got my food paid and left. After getting home I see this tiny thing of queso and assumed they must have accidentally given us the small and the steak and veggies for the fajitas was missing. I called and the lady said it was busy I forgot what do you want me to do and no sweetie that is our large. I wouldn’t pay 7.99 for that tiny thing. I said I would just take a refund and I was on my way. I arrive and she says you’re here for the steak and at this point I’m over it so she hands me the steak (no refund). After arrive home for the second time all the food was cold. This was a terrible experience and I will not be back. If I could leave zero...
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I went for the $1 enchiladas because they had a sign specifying. Well what the sign didn’t specify is it had to be chicken or beef AND you have to order a soft drink. So, 2 enchiladas total for 2 people would require 2 soft drinks. If you don’t eat meat or drink soda this makes this completely worthless. But this wasn’t even the worst of it. It took 35 min to get our food, it was tiny, the cheese was the worst tasting cheese ever, and the chips were stale. The waitress didn’t come check on us once. She walked by 15+ times but didn’t bother checking once, even after I sat my empty drink at the end of the table. The only encounter I had with the server was when I stood up to leave she finally goes “oh are you done” then handed me the check. I let the owner know everything and she just said “sorry”. What a joke. I paid with cash, which I shouldn’t have even given them a dollar, then get home to see they shorted me $4 and change on the money they gave back to me. I will never ever step foot in this...
