Im becoming a doctor so is my fiancée at LMU, As soon as I entered I smelled a majorly toxic cleaning product throughout the entire hotel, people were complaining as soon as they walked in. I got dizzy and sick immediately. I then asked the front desk about the smell she said it doesn’t smell, very dismissive and rude lady. I went to our room and legitimately was wafted by the most strong chemical smell I’ve even smelled in my life, my eyes burned so badly I couldn’t see straight, same with my fiancé. Then I couldn’t breathe and my face blistered from chemicals. I literally ran out of the room outside and almost collapsed. I’ve never been so chemically sick and I’ve stayed thousands of hotels. We are both becoming doctors and know what’s going to hurt a human, this was almost deadly. I went to the front desk and said I wanted a refund. She said I would have to call the app I booked through, bookings.com told me to have them immediately refund me, which they never did at all for anything. I asked the front desk woman’s name and she wouldn’t give me her name? Super sketchy, I then thought I should start recording which I told her for my own safety considering how dismissive she was. I asked her to call the manager and she flat out said no. That was very unprofessional seeing that I received psychical damage on the hotel property, I needed medical attention and to go get checked at a hospital, Extremely sick, my finance in the car loosing conciseness. She told me that the manager told her too only call if it’s super important? I think someone dying in the lobby is important, very insulting and illegal and to deny a customer medical attention seeing as I was blinded by the chemical I couldn’t drive my car. I begged her to call the manager she again refused I got the managers number and they never answered. I’m becoming a doctor so there’s nothing to even argue, my health was seriously effected. the front desk lady made me feel like they messed with the room on purpose. Then they stole from me because I they still never returned anything to my card when they said they would. This hotel is disgusting and extremely sketchy. They will deny you medical attention if something happens to you on there property and ontop of that they will make it impossible to receive your money back, every excuse. I’m going to file something against the hotel and have already talked to the department of health. There’s a ton of other hotels in the area that your not going to be permanently effected by. I may never be the same that’s how stormy the chemicals were. These sick weirdos will read this and laugh, BE careful! DO mot come here you legit might die. Multiple people on the reviews on google have gone through similar stuff with the staff this place in dangerous read the other reviews l, you are in danger being here they refuse to call anyone, the front desk manager will let you die before she’s polite. I’m contacting the other people on google reviews and going to file something against everyone involved...
Read moreWhere to start with my review?!?! Ok, the first thing you see when you walk in in this beautiful wooden staircase in the center of the room. To the right is a sitting area with a sofa and a tv (I think there was a fireplace?) To the left is the check in desk. Checking in took under 5 minutes - FAST! So we bring our luggage in and head to the elevator, looking at the indoor pool as we go in. We asked for an accessible room. You never know what you'll get when you ask for a handicap room. First thing I always check is the bathroom. There I found a wheelchair accessible shower with a large transfer shower chair, a standard shower head and a lovely hand held as well! FANTASTIC! At the desk is an actual wooden chair, not a cheap swivel desk chair that will move if you try to sit. The thermostat was simple and easy to use. The bed was at a comfortable height if you had to transfer out of wheelchair. (You wouldn't believe how many hotels give you a bed you'd literally have to climb up!) The bed, oh the bed! It was bouncy and COMFORTABLE. We didn't watch tv much, preferring to read. It was relatively quiet. I don't remember hearing any other doors closing or tv's. I did hear the next rooms phone ring (and the crazy person kept repeat dialing for an HOUR!) On either side of the bed were 2 usb plugs in the wall. The lamps had two switches, so you could have a little light or more. NICE! The breakfast spread was fabulous! Room for improvement: the desk lamp didn't have a single usb plug in sight. The mini fridge is difficult to open (you have to push the fridge door down to get it to clear the furniture it's housed in.) The pool had dead bugs, hair and other bits floating on the water. One suggestion I would have would be to offer trays for people to take breakfast to their rooms. Not everyone wants to eat with others or feels comfortable enough with covid to sit with others. Oh and the pillows were a bit flat. But honestly, I'm really struggling, nit-picking, to come up with these con's. Our stay there was lovely. I've never slept that well in a strange bed/hotel. Our stay was just wonderful and I wish we'd found this hotel YEARS AGO!! Best of all, I'd had a reservation with another hotel but changed it to this hotel because we thought about bringing our 19 yr old cat along (we ended up not doing this) and by changing hotels we saved...
Read moreLet me start by saying this is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel but it is absolutely the last. The first time we stayed here, we saw a BUNCH of dogs and got so excited to find a hotel we liked that we could bring our dog to. We had only one red flag that visit, at check in. The guy seemed annoyed that we were checking in after 11 PM and said he would "still LET US check in" - whatever. No other issues. Last week, we brought our dog to leave him with family in Knoxville while we went to the beach. We stayed one night here with the dog and went on our way. Coming back through to pick up our little guy, we had 2 nights booked here. The first night we got in so late he wasn't with us yet but we told the clerk he would be with us the next night. No problem. So last night (our last night before heading home today) we brought our dog in to stay with us and leave early this morning with us to go home. We'll within 20 minutes of being in the hotel room, my dog starts behaving erratically- whining, head bobbing, eyes darting, can't sit still. My 7 Month old puppy ingested AMPHETAMINES IN THIS HOTEL ROOM. Spent $200 on this room just to spend $300 at the emergency vet due to lack of appropriate cleaning. I was going to say something along the lines of "if you advertise as dog friendly, you should clean for them and take extra precaution" but what if someone's CHILD had found whatever my dog got? My puppy could have DIED! STAY AWAY.
Update: took them to court and the hotel manager lied under oath saying he sent me a check for $300 and then the judge made him admit it was not cashed. These people are absolutely disgusting. My 6 month old puppy (who is my whole world) could have died and these nasty awful disgusting atrocious horrible ugly fully bumping humans did not give a single F. Please do not bring your children here. Despite the vet telling me due to the onset time of the drug (which is FACTUAL INFORMATION) HE ABSOLUTELY 100% INGESTED THE DRUG IN THE HOTEL ROOM their lawyer called it hearsay. If I had a lawyer maybe I would have won the case - since after 4 months they hired a lawyer the weekend before court and didn't even tell him what he was showing up for. Do not stay here. Do not....
