McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Terre Haute

Edit: Changing my original 1 star review to 4 stars. I took the sandwiches back and they were very apologetic and remade them. My original review was left in a state of hungry frustration. They are very busy right now considering they just opened and mistakes happen. The remade sandwiches were very good. They still came with pickles even after I had asked for no pickles again which is why I didn't give 5 stars. Once things calm down and they aren't so busy I'll likely go back to try some different sandwiches.

Got my food to go and I should've checked it before leaving the store. Ordered no pickles on all 3 of my sandwiches. Got pickles in all 3. Ordered no kraut on my reuben. Got kraut on the reuben. Ordered mayo instead of mustard on the New Yorker. Got mustard and no mayo.

The receipt has all of the items and changes highlighted suggesting that someone had checked the order before putting it together but obviously they just highlighted without checking. I understand that they have just opened and are very busy but now I'm left with sandwiches that I don't even want to eat. I'll take the blame for not checking my order before leaving the store but I didn't think it would be necessary considering the highlights on...

After plummeting to the depths of Despair from lunch earlier at the evil golden arches and consuming a Big Mac that left my stomach in turmoil, it was a lovely change of pace to eat at Mcalister's Deli this evening where the food was fresh, tasty, and the service was excellent! The cashier taking our order offered us to honest advice regarding the food and help us make a good decision in what we would eat. She was extremely courteous and the food came very quickly. We found the restaurant to be very clean and everybody was exceptionally friendly. I decided to go with a club sandwich because my stomach was already upset from eating at the McDonald's earlier and the food was so fresh and tasty that I have no doubt that I will not suffer the same stomach discomfort that the golden arches gave me earlier. The potato soup was also very good, although it could use a couple more potatoes thrown in for good measure, I did find it to be tasty and it warmed my soul. We received our food faster than the transaction at the register took. So what I’m saying is we were at the register for ever, basically as soon as we sat down our food was done? How! The employees were overly friendly, so I couldn’t even enjoy my meal with my partner because of the employees bothering us. For $10 I got a basic Ruben with barely any 1000 island dressing on it, the sandwich was haphazardly placed on the farthest side of my plate the other 3/4 empty. I had to ask for some more 1000 island on the side, it was free. For a $10 sandwich it should be. While eating the TVs every where were a turn off, playing sports everywhere I could see. The employee who clears the tables was lurking around so much the moment we were finished he was there taking my plate. I wish I could have just relaxed and been left alone. The bathroom was pretty clean and the restaurant, but not somewhere I would want to go again. When we were leaving an employee forced his religion on me by telling me to have a blessed day....
