Iām a fan and will be back; however, I donāt recall ever having as poor of a dining service experience as I had this evening. Table of 4 on a Thursday night and was not busy. They were very polite and took our order promptly but very little right from there. 3 of the 4 guest ordered alcohol and were served promptly but twenty minutes later the one non alcoholic order was still not served. Salad and breadsticks were also forgotten until we mentioned it as the waiter informed us entrees weāre getting ready to come out. Ordered no onions on salad, extra dressing and croutons on the side, and Alfredo dipping. Salad came full of onions, no Alfredo, no extra croutons, and no extra dressing. Asked again for a salad without onions and never came. Entrees served about two minutes after bread and salad and little right there either. One entree was complete wrong dish and had to be remade. One was half correct and had to be corrected. The other two were accurate. Following the meal, very little acknowledgement of the disaster the service was. No price breakāwhich is fine as we werenāt trying to get a free meal but will say when I had a much less of a problem experience at Fridays they sent out a manager to apologize and gave us a free desert. And when did restaurants stop sending managers around to check on customersā experiences? Not just here but other than Fridays I donāt recall seeing managers moving through restaurants checking on customers anymore. I have a family of four and canāt get out of Olive Garden without spending $100 anymore and thatās without alcohol. Thatās fine but when paying that much would be nice to get decent service and see more effort to ensure customers are taken care of. Again, Iām a fan and will be back but hope this is seen by the OG management staff and helps to drive some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had the worst service tonight that we have ever had. Our waiter had an attitude and was in a rush. We ordered soup salad and breadsticks and he came with everything to the table soup bread salad and all the plates. We didnt have room for all that at once on the table not to mention he threw everything at us on the table. Then he never came back for refills and the one time he did come back he started to clear the table didnt ask if he could get it out of our way just started clearing the table and I told him hey I wasnt dont with my salad and bread plate. He came back with clean plates and set them down hard the table. We asked for the manager and the manager came and talked to us. We reported the bad service to the manager and he immediately refilled our refills and got us fresh everything because while your eating your salad and bread the soup was cold that's why you usually bring out the salad and bread first then ask when your ready for the soup. A nice family dinner out turned out to be a rushed mess. To the waiter I'm sorry your having a bad day but taking it out on your customers is not professional take a break and get yourself together. To the manager thank you so much for being attentive to our needs and making up for the bad service. The manager not only gave us the service we deserved but he also bought our meal and gave us a very heartfelt apology. This manager is awesome in my book thank you for turning around a bad situation. Olive garden is our favorite restaurant and is very special to us and we will not let this bad experience ruin it for us we will return but hopefully the service will be better next time. Thanks again to the manager for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe travel the country quite a bit and have gone to many Olive Garden restaurants. Sadly, this was the worst experience we have had at an Olive Garden.
The waiter, Caleb, may want to look for a different line of work. He really did not seem to want to do this job and came off as rude. Most of the staff seemed to just be "grinding out" another day at a job they wish they didn't have to work.
Soup, salad & breadsticks is what we ordered. Salad was mediocre, with the first bowl being comprised of mostly the remains of the lettuce you would typically discard. Second bowl was good though. Breadsticks were excellent, when we could get them. Soup: First bowl was chicken gnocchi. It seemed to be thin and have a chemical sort of flavor. When we were able to finally get the waiters attention, we explained the issue and swapped them for the zupa soup. He seemed unconcerned or uninterested in any issues with the soup. The zupa soup seemed watered down a bit, but tasted good.
They were a bit busy while we were there so I gave a 2 star, rather than 1 star, to account for that, but during our down time, while waiting on soup or salad, we noticed Caleb seemed to have the same general attitude towards all his customers and generally seemed as though this was a forced labor camp rather than a job that depends on good tips.
Unfortunately, I don't think we will be back to this particular...
