I’ve been coming to John Ryan’s for little over a year now. I own a local business and we frequently get take out and I will often take the guys out after close for dinner. Stopped in for a quick beer and lunch as normal and asked for a coke with my food to go along with my tall beer. When the check came I noticed I was charged $4.50 for a fountain soda which is absolutely outrageous. Now my beer was stale af, I didn’t complain. I asked bartender about $4.5 for a coke and she rudely reply’s “ I don’t Make the prices, the cost of everything’s going up.” I’m sorry the cost of a fountain soda went from $.02 to what maybe .05! I know I’m a petty person but you guys lost my business completely. Never in my life have I been charged for a coke while eating and drinking, esp $4.50.

Giving the restaurant 5/5 because it is a great local pub with friendly service and great food. However, we ordered takeout tonight and got the cheese curds which cost $9, only to get home and find that there are only 13 (and some small breaded pieces) in the box, meaning each cheese curd is worth .70 cents. This was surprising as we’ve been to this place a lot and this was not what we were expecting. We called the restaurant back to complain and they reassured us that they are prepackaged and “it just looked small” because of the box they’re in. We’ve had these plenty of times at the restaurant and have gotten plenty more. This was disappointing.

We happened upon Jon Ryan's after our regular place was filled to the brim. This is a great place to go for a meal or grab a drink and watch a game. A beautiful bar with plenty of TV's. We chose the sit down option. Our server was pleasant enough. Not to chatty, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained. The food was delicious. The coleslaw was basic, but the burger stood out! Fresh beef goes a long way. The bun was a little much compared to the burger. However, it was soft, fresh, and still delicious. I would gladly eat here again and I'd look forward to it!

I had heard from a friend about the quality at the Tewksbury location going downhill and hadn't been there for awhile but was always a fan previously so wanted to try for myself back in Feb. with a visiting out of state guest. While the 'pub fare' chicken tenders are consistent and still to die for, to our disappointment the Fisherman's platter for my friend was found to be a bit skimpy for the price, breading was not at all crunchy, dish was not served 'hot' and was just 'not all that great'.....and my entree was just about inedible....and this was supposed to be the 'special?' The entire dish did not have enough 'sauce' and the raviolis on the edges of the portion were dried out and I left much of the chicken pieces behind which were rubbery as all get out. Hate to say it but we both said later that we had gotten a better meal for lunch (delicious steak tips) at Uno's a couple days before for half the price. Won't be going back anytime soon. (or else just sticking with the chicken tenders) Before someone says 'we should have complained then'.....the restaurant was very busy, we had no extra time to additionally 'wait' on dinner and I think my guest was a bit embarrassed to be negative...

Bit the bullet and decided to take my girlfriend to Jon Ryan's for drinks and honestly disappointed. When i viewed the menu that was brought up by the QR scanner on the table there was no Drinks Menu which when we asked the waitstaff we were told that it didnt exist and that we "needed to know what we liked to drink before coming in". Eventually we found out you had to separately google the drinks menu, when we got our drinks we were thoroughly disappointed in the taste the only think i could taste in this drink called Mermaid's Water the waitstaff recommended, was the pineapple. When we got our food I ordered a king size bourbon marinated steak tips which i will compliment were absolutely delicious, the potatoes and carrots i had for sides though not so much. Overall was not a fan of the attitude of the waitstaff as he also kept staring at my girlfriend when talking to us and was just...

Just went to the Billerica location. After being told there was a 30 minute wait, we were finally seated after 1 1/4 hours. This despite there being empty tables. When we finally were seated, we ordered a Cowboy steak and beef tips. The Cowboy steak was ordered medium rare. It arrived ranging from raw to medium depending on where you cut it. I haven't figured out how they did that. The good news is that the raw portion was gristle(a substantial amount of it). The beef tips, which according to the check were sirloin tips, were mediocre at best. The vegetables were good, but cold. The pricing was very high for the low quality. Our bill with 1 draft beer and a small wine was $58. The only good thing of the visit was the waitress (Michelle) who was terrific. Needless to say WE WILL NOT BE BACK. will go the 99 or...
