I had heard from a friend about the quality at the Tewksbury location going downhill and hadn't been there for awhile but was always a fan previously so wanted to try for myself back in Feb. with a visiting out of state guest. While the 'pub fare' chicken tenders are consistent and still to die for, to our disappointment the Fisherman's platter for my friend was found to be a bit skimpy for the price, breading was not at all crunchy, dish was not served 'hot' and was just 'not all that great'.....and my entree was just about inedible....and this was supposed to be the 'special?' The entire dish did not have enough 'sauce' and the raviolis on the edges of the portion were dried out and I left much of the chicken pieces behind which were rubbery as all get out. Hate to say it but we both said later that we had gotten a better meal for lunch (delicious steak tips) at Uno's a couple days before for half the price. Won't be going back anytime soon. (or else just sticking with the chicken tenders) Before someone says 'we should have complained then'.....the restaurant was very busy, we had no extra time to additionally 'wait' on dinner and I think my guest was a bit embarrassed to be negative...
Read moreBit the bullet and decided to take my girlfriend to Jon Ryan's for drinks and honestly disappointed. When i viewed the menu that was brought up by the QR scanner on the table there was no Drinks Menu which when we asked the waitstaff we were told that it didnt exist and that we "needed to know what we liked to drink before coming in". Eventually we found out you had to separately google the drinks menu, when we got our drinks we were thoroughly disappointed in the taste the only think i could taste in this drink called Mermaid's Water the waitstaff recommended, was the pineapple. When we got our food I ordered a king size bourbon marinated steak tips which i will compliment were absolutely delicious, the potatoes and carrots i had for sides though not so much. Overall was not a fan of the attitude of the waitstaff as he also kept staring at my girlfriend when talking to us and was just...
Read moreJust went to the Billerica location. After being told there was a 30 minute wait, we were finally seated after 1 1/4 hours. This despite there being empty tables. When we finally were seated, we ordered a Cowboy steak and beef tips. The Cowboy steak was ordered medium rare. It arrived ranging from raw to medium depending on where you cut it. I haven't figured out how they did that. The good news is that the raw portion was gristle(a substantial amount of it). The beef tips, which according to the check were sirloin tips, were mediocre at best. The vegetables were good, but cold. The pricing was very high for the low quality. Our bill with 1 draft beer and a small wine was $58. The only good thing of the visit was the waitress (Michelle) who was terrific. Needless to say WE WILL NOT BE BACK. will go the 99 or...
