Long's Kitchen — Restaurant in Tewksbury

I've been going there for years b/c the food is good. I'm picky and demand some above average to excellent quality. Lots of chinese take out restaurants food smell like pet food and taste is sub-quality. Lately I'm disappointed with this place because twice in a row I've ordered pork fried rice and there was barely any pork! When I ordered recently over the phone I told the new lady and she said she would tell the kitchen. When I arrived I saw that my bill was $10 higher than usual. The new lady took the liberty to upgrade my order to all large quantities at my expense. I asked her why and she said that if the customer doesn't say small then she orders larger. When I said I didn't ask for large they took the food back and unloaded it into small containers. She continued to argue with me. I may not go there again. Gave me spoiled duck sauce that smelled like vinegar. I used it and made my dinner disgusting. I called and spoke to the woman working, I asked for a refund and she asked me to spell refund. I have been a loyal customer for 14 years and never had a problem. I asked again and she told me the duck sauce is free, and she will give me a free duck sauce next time. Awful customer service, and the food has gone downhill, I substituted the boneless spare ribs for bone in ribs and they gave me two ribs in my pupu platters, mind you last time the boneless ribs were about 20 pieces. We live in town and had gone to FL for several months. We were looking forward to some good Chinese food from Longs. What a disappointment.

First thing I noticed when I went in way all the changes that have been made. Use to know all the people that worked there but I didn't recognize a soul.

Food was lousy. No flavor at all to any of the items we bought.

I suspect they might have changed hands as the food was prepared differently and the help was all new, at least to me.

Hopefully they will get there act together before...
