Its completely overrated. I dont understand why everyone goes crazy over vic's.
A typical Saturday/Sunday: Try to find parking. (tip: if the lot is full, so is the building) Find parking and make your way to the front door. Notice the people standing outside. (Just turn around at this point) Open door and have 3 people fall out of the building. (Note- the people who fell put are the back of the line. You'll be the next person falling out if you decide to wait) Make your way down a long narrow hallway. (Try to dodge the children in the way) Make it into the host desk and announce your party number. They will take your name and send you off to the back of the narrow hallway to wait. -45 minutes later- The bench has freed up! Take it before someone lays down on it and all sitting opportunities are gone! -1 hour later- Your name is called! Run before someone impersonates you! You will probably be seated on top of another seated party because tmthe place is big enough to seat maybe 50 people. You'll be close friends, that is for sure. Orders are taken by very fast, never to be bothered waitresses. Drinks arrive, then moments later, food has arrived. -i must admit, the food is usually fast, even with a table of 4. And its pretty good from what I remember- The check is handed to you before grandma Betty has finished her coffee. You're on your own at this time and probably won't see the waitress (other than at other tables) until you pop some cash out. You're typically grabbing your wallet with your fork and your food with your hand because you're too busy rushing to pay to bill and get out of there to enjoy the meal. The meal ends very quickly and everything is gone. You walk out past the host stand, out two doors, back down the long hall of people who also have fallen for the trap, you step over small children who dont seem to wanna move, back to your car and get out of there as quickly as possible.
I wish I was kidding. Every single experience I have there is rushed and it's never truly enjoyable. Although the food is genuinly good, I dont think its worth the...
Read moreRenata is a poor excuse of a waitress, and the owner, Vic, makes consistent excuses for her behavior, as in his words this is “not the first time” customers have complained about her service, but because he “has not seen it for himself” he does not believe the customers experiences (turns out another person posted a review about her here). When I was waiting to be seated, Renata bumped into me - at first I was irritated because she did not say excuse me, but I quickly brushed this off as the place was pretty busy and I assumed she did not mean it. But her behavior as our waitress proved me wrong. Renata consistently cut my party off while we were ordering, slammed food on the table, and rolled her eyes when we would ask for additional items. When I communicated to her that we were experiencing her as rude, she became condescending, saying “no honey, I’m not rude at all.” I then told her to not call me “honey,” as I am not familiar with her. Shortly after, I requested to speak with the owner, Vic, and to my surprise he said this is not the first time customers complained about her behavior. While I was talking to Vic, Renata was in the background giving me nasty looks (eye-rolling, glares, weird smile), and when I - literally - pointed this out to Vic, he continued to say that because he did not see it for himself, he could not verify it was true. Why would you want to eat at a place where the owner does not hold his employees accountable for their CONSISTENT actions? I understand we all have bad days, but given that this is repeated behavior on Renata’s part, perhaps the owner should consider that this is not the job for her. Food was okay. If you still want to eat here, be sure to request a...
Read moreIt's good if you don't care about health and don't mind feeling like a herd. Katsup and syrup are low quality w high fructose corn syrup, really? No healthier options? Orange juice is concentrate and sugary. Bacon is standard, not thick and not crispy, about half way to soggy. Cranberry walnut waffle had about 3 walnut pieces and some of the cranberry was candied 😠 Total meal was 16 and a half, minus tip. I'm visiting from out of state, do not see why this place gets high reviews. Semi dirty, due to high traffic guess. The waitresses do their best to be pleasant but the undaunting amount of people trying to eat here forces them to behave like cattle herders. I don't know why this place gets high reviews and why so many people want to eat here. It is sub par at best. Anyway, denny's or IHOP are better than this place and I don't really enjoy either of those places personally. Not because their food is bad, simply because I enjoy paying for higher quality healthy food. Zucchini hash Browns For example, crispy thick applewood smoked bacon for example, farm raised free range chickens for example. Yes you pay more but boy is it tasty and indulgent and healthier. If we stop patronizing these low quality facilities they will be forced to provide better quality food products. Anyway, be aware of what these...
