This is my regular store. They seem to see me coming and roll out the red carpet. It seems like I've spent half of my life here since I moved to Nashua in 2007. This time I had a pinhole leak in a spray hose for the kitchen sink. I had a brand new replacement hose that had been sitting in my workshop in the basement for several years. But when I removed the leaking hose in the kitchen and compared it to the replacement I found that it had a brass tube that fit into the quick-release valve connecting it to the faucet assembly. Whereas the replacement had a 3/8" female coupling on the end of the spray hose. So I was looking for a short brass tube fitting with a 3/8" threaded base that would fit into the replacement spray hose to connect it to the quick-release valve.
When I got to the store it was very busy. I found the assistant in the plumbing department where the fittings are but he was busy with another customer so I waited for a few minutes until there was a break in his conversation with the other customer. When I showed him the old and new hose couplings he directed me to bay 5 and said he'd be there in a few minutes. So I did as directed and looked high and low while I waited for the assistant. About 10 minutes later he showed up and found the piece I was looking for in about 10 seconds. When I got home I added some teflon tape and threaded the new brass piece into the spray hose assembly and installed it in the sink and connected it to the quick-release valve. Then I turned on the hot and cold water and tested the new sprayer and voila! All is right with the world once more thanks to the knowledgeable people at the Home Depot at my favorite store on Coliseum Ave. in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre thinking about using Home Depot for rentals, learn from the week-long mess Iām in. I rented equipment for just over $2,500 for a week. Pickup was supposed to be Friday morning. I called that morning to extend by a single day and paid another $605 for Saturdayāno one mentioned they were already behind on pickups. Nearly a week later, the equipment is still sitting in front of my house in a paid street spot. I canāt park at my own place, and they still canāt tell me when theyāll get it. Every update Iāve gotten has been because I chased them. One person even told me it āmightā be picked up tomorrow but not to count on it. So they charged me hundreds for one extra day, then left their machine here almost a week and basically washed their hands of it.
This hasnāt just been a rough ending; it was bad from the start. They delivered the wrong equipment initially, and itās felt like pulling teeth on every step sinceāzero urgency, zero ownership, zero communication. If you need to run into the store for a couple of items, fine. But if youāre relying on Home Depot to deliver, pick up, or manage a rental on any kind of schedule, donāt. Iām done with them for rentals and special orders. And if you look up their ratings, youāll see Iām not some outlierāplenty of people have the same story. I wish Iād checked more closely before booking, because this has been expensive, inconvenient, and completely avoidable if they just did what they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is both a review of this Home Depot location and the next day delivery service they use. I ordered some sanding discs online and they said I would have them the next day. I did indeed have them the next day. About a half hour prior to the Home Depot delivery from a company by the name of Spark ,which is owned by Walmart, I had about $500 worth of Amazon packages delivered. These packages vanished but the Home Depot package was there when I got home. Had I known they would use a third party gig delivery service and not a reputable company like USPS, UPS, or FedEx I would have never placed the order. I tried reaching out to Home Depot online and they said this would have to be handled at the store level. I reached out to the store and they said there was nothing they could do and that I would have to contact Spark. I re-contacted Home Depot online and they said that the manager would reach out to me about this and has not done so. When I received my Amazon packages I got the typical picture of my front steps with the packages neatly placed on them. When I looked at the "Proof of Delivery" from Home Depot/ Spark it was a picture of the side of my house from the driver's seat of the Spark drivers car. The package from Home Depot was left right next to where the Amazon packages had been. Long story short I wouldn't trust their next day delivery service...
