Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Texarkana

My 5 kids are all in their 20's & 30's. I went to Chucky Cheese in Texarkana with my 2 year old grandson. I was dreading it having taken my kids there many times years ago. The animatronics rarely worked & the games were always broken, out of tickets or would take your tokens but not let you play. We were always waiting for an attendant. Just frustrating. I was SO happy to find out they did away with the animatronics & every single game or ride worked perfectly. The food was good too. We had a pepperoni pizza, some drinks & played a lot of games & rode every car ride. My grandson had a blast, & we did too. I was worried there would not be much for a 2 year old but there was. I LOVE the new loading card system to avoid the ticket issues. Brilliant. I loved the machine to check your balance for tickets as well as points. It helped me to see what everything cost. We were there for 3 hours of food & fun for the 3 of us for 40.00. I highly recommend Ice Man. Great game for a 2 year old. I do wish they would bring the irritating teenybopper music down a bit as even watching the screen was cringeworthy, but I realize it is not for me. I am surprised as anyone to say we are definitely going back to Chucky Cheese. It was a very fun night. The crew there on Wednesday Aug 23rd 2023 were so helpful & attentive. Great time was had by all 3 of us. I can not wait to come back & bring our grandsons parents. They were jumping tonight. At least 70 plus kids there. I take my lil buddy there, my youngest, he's just turned six. He loves it when we go. I loved going to the one they had in Longview as a kid in the 80s. The games these days are so much cooler with plenty of classics (still got your Skeeball and physical games). Plenty of cool age appropriate shoot em ups, skill games, the coolest version of space invaders you'll ever play. We don't ever eat there but we go for a 45 minute run just him and me all you can play for $25. It's definitely worth it because he goes ham. It's not for everyone. Definitely younger families with ethnic minorities going so everyone is super welcome as you'd expect anyway. Definitely bigger kids there but they're always nice to the little ones. This definitely isn't my generations CC but it's definitely safer, with systems in place to keep kids from wandering out or worse. You get matching UV hand stamps also to your family for extra safety. Basically come in and if you aren't into playing arcade games let your kids go nuts (I like the games too much so we both play, lol, you can on the same card so you get your money's worth). Anyway, it's worth a trip if you went as a kid and haven't been with your kids or younger family. Heck, if you don't have kids yet go with friends who do and let the new nostalgia let you feel...

Our party was set to start at 130. Our party host was late getting there....our game badges didnt come out on time either....kids were ready to play....the host finally came with some badges and said we could play for 45 minutes and she would have the pizzas ready...an hour 15 went by and we had to ask for our pizzas again....got 2 pizzas on the table with 20 kids...went really fast...2 pizzas down and still no drinks....kids were already done eating before the second 2 batch of pizzas came out...finally got cups and she told us to wait on pitchers of drinks....she was gone forever....we waited and waited..I kept seeing her helping other customers at the prize counter.....so....I started running to the soft drink machines with cups getting started because the kids were starving for a drink....I think either the girl must have been new or just didnt care...idk...but it wasnt very organized and my little girl still never got to get in the ticket booth....and the ticket munchers were broke down so we came home with our tickets and kids didnt get to turn in their tickets for prizes.....bummed....there were only a couple of parties the whole time we were there....so they weren't slammed....just not staffed well I guess...but we spent some money like $400.00 so you would expect a little better service than we...
