At 7 AM today, only 1 car was ahead in the drive thru. At the menu & ordering station, the speaker was not properly working. In fact, you couldn't even hear anything being said by the attendant. So, I drove to the first window where I sat waiting for someone to appear. When she showed up, I repeated my order for about the fourth time and explained that the speaker was not working or that the volume was so low it was inaudible. She seemed dumbfounded by the fact that the speaker wasn't working. Never mind that they'd already been open for an hour and a half. She was putting her headphone on, and had come from somewhere other than the cash register where she was probably to have been stationed.
I paid and moved forward to the second window, where the second attendant quickly disappeared from sight. Inside, I saw the other workers were busy filling drink cups in the dispensers, stocking creamers and whatnot, and placing other things for the morning as if they had not done so much earlier, say, at or before opening A few minutes later, the attendant came back to the window, handed me my drink, and then she asked me to pull forward to await my sausage, egg and cheese biscuit.
Before pulling forward and parking, I specifically asked for two pepper packages and one salt package. She agreed, so I moved up and parked. At 7 AM, really, there should be no waiting on a standard menu item. And, it seems likely that stocking for the morning rush should have been done already.
Well, a few minutes later, she brought my food to the curb where my car was parked. I left with my food. When I arrived home, just a couple blocks away from the restaurant, I opened my bag and unwrapped my sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. Clearly, this breakfast sandwich had not just been prepared.
The biscuit was incredibly hard on the bottom, and about a quarter inch or more up from the bottom up was hard as bone. The sausage was burned, but cold. The cheese, well, it was half on the biscuit and half on the package.
Why it was necessary to wait for food that wasn't even hot beats me. And, why anybody would bother bringing something like that out for someone who had been made to wait specifically on its preparation is just baffling to me. I mean, I don't mind waiting, but if you're going to make me wait, and you've told me that I'm waiting on the item that I ordered, it seems to me the item I ordered ought to come out freshly prepared and piping hot. As I said, there was nothing freshly-prepared about it.
And, to top it off, the attendant confused my request for 2 pepper packages and one salt package with 1 pepper package and 2 salt packages. I mean, really? Oh, and just so you'll know, only one person left the line with their order before I drove off with mine, so it should not be suggested that perhaps she was so busy she had forgotten my request.
On another note, however, at least least everyone was polite and wished me a good morning... albeit that did nothing whatsoever for getting me my hot, fresh, delicious sausage, egg and cheese biscuit.
I guess since the Sadowskis have sold their local McDonald's franchises, patrons may need to expect this kind of thing from now on.
Anyone got any suggestions for new place for sausage, egg and cheese biscuit?
I love McDonald's breakfast in the morning... have it all the time, but that was about the worst I ever had from...
Read moreOnly reason why I’m giving 3 starts is because the morning crew is absolutely WONDERFUL! Let’s talk about the lunch and evening crew. I come to this location daily. Every morning to be exact. The only times I have issues with this location is the lunch/ evening crew. One to start off my orders during lunch/ dinner are NEVER correct. Which I’ve gone back in multiple times to get the things correct. After so many times though you gotta think, are the employees even reading? Today took the cake though, I placed an order online, apparently the server went down as I placed my order, which is no big deal at all. However this is my first experience with this so I go in to ask about getting my money back or my meal since I have proof of purchase, not knowing they didn’t get the order. It took me a min to even get help cause the employees were too involved in their own conversation, about one being off clock while the other is still on the clock. Which again I get, but when I ask the “manager” or shift lead whatever she is she said they didn’t get it so she can’t do nothing, ok what about my money, she repeats there nothing she can do. So I go back out call the number they said the store can refund me and it will take 1-7 business days. Cool so I go back in and I ask if she the manger she turns back says yes, so I ask what her name is. She completely ignores me while she laughs and carry’s on with another employee. I ask again what her name is and get ignored again. Another employee grabs the actual general manager in which she explained the situation, explains why it’s showing in my account that they took the money and explains I’ll have it back in about 3 hours. That’s fine now my problem is why the other manager couldn’t even acknowledge me and tell me her name. I’m trying to figure out why my money is taken if yall didn’t get the order, she couldn’t be bothered with a customer because her conversation with her employee is far more important. She had no problem turning around and acknowledging me while the GM was explaining it to me and run her mouth about me and the situation. Which is not only unprofessional, but childlike. If you can’t do your job as a manager or shift lead, then don’t take that position. If you can’t be bothered with explaining to a customer how the process works, then you don’t need to be in that position. Yes customers are not always right, and I wasn’t correct with getting my refund because I was not aware of how McDonald’s system works, seeing how I’m not an employee, however as an employee you should know your system enough to be able to explain it to your customers when situations like this arise. I’ll find another place to spend money for my lunch and dinners. Only time I’ll return in during the morning because of how great the...
Read moreWe went through the drive-thru for what we thought would be a quick bite a on our way to the movie. We ordered a 4 piece order of chicken strips and 2 drinks. They handed us our drinks and asked us to park to wait for our chicken strips. Well, we waited and waited. Finally, my husband went inside after 17 minutes and no one would even look at him. He had to get in line to get someone to talk to him and he told them that he'd been waiting for food from the drive-thru, and she said, "oh, you ordered the chicken tenders?" And then said, "would you like some fresh ones?" Evidently, our order had been ready for some some time, but no one bothered to carry it out. I think they were short staffed, but why park someone if you can't take their order to them? Oh, and they didn't give us the sauce we ordered for our chicken either, but there was no way we were going back inside. We were almost late for our movie. Total time at McDonald's, 23 minutes waiting on a...
