Pizza isn't what you want to go for if you're eating and drinking here. The People are GREAT! The atmosphere is exactly what I want. It's only missing a wood stove in the winter and an old dog that visits folks. It's great, looks great and A+ clean... Now, to the nitty gritty reality of why we came to this point... We just had their "supreme", don't recall the trendy pointless name. This sauce is lacking, Ragu "Old World Style" is better. I couldn't tell sauce was on it until the crust... The Crust, floppish but we waited too long, good looking underside, no flavor, no salt in the crust (now I'm making excuses). Just sad. I don't even understand how wood fired pizza could manage to not have much smoke on it. I saw the log burning with my own eyes, heck, felt it. This is a sad pizza but they have tons of brews and other food I haven't tried so I gotta give them the average 3 out of 5 ⭐ now just to be cordial and their service and building gets a 5* review. Pizza? 6.0 out of 10 for average jokers who like no flavor in their tomato sauce and crust. That's being generous. Admit it, people like bland and kids are scared of salt and sugar like they're 90 these days for absolutely no reason. Want a good pizza go to Lost Pizza Company. Plenty of flavor, GREAT actually and the folks are great as well. None of the other places in town are worth the visit. I'd rather eat a "Black Box" Hand Tossed from Dominos, A BBQ chicken at Shlotzkys or a Pie from Papa Johns. Yeah, it's that serious. I'll never understand why bland eaters around here or the world go in for half way made stuff with no flavor and no extra seasoing/ingredients and no love. I'm not a huge fan of nothing but black olives, the pizza lacked actual ingredients people want. Bad bagged sausage from Sysco/Ben E. Keith/Performance is bad sausage. Get some real Italian sausage. That old Junk even Pizza Hut quit using. I've cooked and ran kitchens longer than the kids in this place have walked the earth. Buck that game up buck-o, try harder. You ain't doing it right no matter what anyone says, you can do better. A lil salt and a lil sugar goes miles in a food game. Add more herbs and seasonings because that doesn't hurt either. Should I repeat a third time? After that I give this a 4 out of 10 on my personal "lamo scale" on the Pie. Marzanos even beats them and their sauce is ratch, still, it has flavor. But seriously, the sauce and...
Read moreI just wanna say this is not about the wait staff at all, everyone was super pleasant and based on my dining experience alone, I'd definitely come back -
So, tonight was my first time inside this establishment but my mom comes in very often and has always boasted about how amazing the food and atmosphere is! We decided to have a family outing this evening for food and beverages; all of which were amazing. The issue comes in when one of the ladies at the door repeatedly asked us if we were staying to see the band, saying outright that she would have to pay $40 to cover us, and rushing my mom to finish her last 3 sips of beer by rushing over to the table and saying "I can get you a to-go glass" - for literally less than 1/4 cup of beer - mind you, we came in an hour before the band even started and the only reason we were there as long as we were is due to the fact that my pizza was forgotten about and came out after everyone at my table had already finished eating... My pizza was brought to me in a to-go box (per my request) and I opened the box to eat a few bites while my mom finished her last little bit of beer and suddenly the lady rushed over to basically push us out of the door if we weren't going to pay an additional $40 for the band that we didn't come to see. All in all, we paid $150 for 4 adult beverages, 4 entrees and 2 appetizers, so to be treated so poorly left a bit of a bad taste in all of our mouths. I actually ended up walking out still eating my pizza because they were so adamant that when my mom said "no I don't need a to-go glass, we're about to leave" the lady questioning us said "thank you" as if she was elated to see us go.. mind you, we were not giving anyone a hard time and were having a great evening out up until this lady walked over for the second time to ask if we were staying or leaving and threatening an additional $40 charge if we stayed long enough to finish our food lol, kinda ridiculous considering how late...
Read moreAs much fuss as there seems to be about this place, you'd think the staff would be friendlier and not pushy for you to eat and go home. I'd have loved for a nice, relaxing conversation, brew, and dinner with my wife, but apparently the band began playing and we were rushed out because we didn't have a green bracelet that NO ONE told us we needed! Perhaps had we known there was a band playing that required a cover charge, we'd have stayed--but instead some random employee basically told us the bands up and to leave...so we did. I even had alcohol left. We were so taken back by the attitude, we just grabbed our stuff and left. We aren't gonna stay where we're not wanted. Could've definitely been approached or handled better in my opinion. All the magic in the world and cards on the ceiling don't matter for piss if you and your staff have snooty attitudes. Definitely did NOT feel welcome... Sad thing is, this isn't the first time. We've shrugged bad attitudes off before at this establishment. We're nice people. We tip well....but it seems like if we aren't in the regular cliq or chatting it up at the bar, we don't deserve the same treatment. We were actually scouting the place out for a BIG event there in the future! Think we'll go elsewhere. I've read replies from the owners saying "We're a concert venue on the weekends" Guess what--people that aren't your regulars or out of town people wouldn't know that--thus, you can't treat people like an ugly stepchild and rush them out if you aren't mentioning it at the door, posting it on your windows, or marketing a cover charge or "food till 7-then a cover charge is incurred". It's not difficult. Communication works. Not bad attitudes towards patrons that work just as hard in life as those paying for the band. Hopefully it'll get better but as of right now--my opinion? The magic...
