----UPDATE---- I ordered one of their pastas during today's happy hour, except it was brought out with NO pasta. It had everyone else: the sauce, all the toppings, and the customary slice of bread, but zero pasta. I told my bartender, Andi, who brought over the manager on duty. The manager quickly apologized and replaced the dish promptly with a new order. She kept me updated on my replacement dish as it was being made and brought it out to me herself. The manager went ahead and removed both that pasta dishes and the appetizer I ordered as I waited for the new dish from my bill, saying they would "be on her" to apologize for a rather embarrassing mistake for any restaurant to make. This experience was a first in terms of getting no pasta with my pasta dish, but the manager's response was top quality to the problem. If I could give this place 6 out of 5 stars, I would! My original review from 01/18/2019 is below. Enjoy! :-) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my first time to any of the "Bar Louie" locations in Houston. I was also here last week at the bar's grand opening day in the evening, so I'm posting this on my second day here a week later. I am impressed by the patio they have just outside with garage-style doors to have free walking between inside seating and out. The patio is shaded, too, so it seems safe from either mild rain or burning sun. The interior area is just as impressive, giving off a real classy, lounge vibe throughout. It has both restaurant-style seating and a very large bar right in the middle with bar seating on all four sides of it. The service at the bar is both friendly & fantastic! Despite running around like bees in a hive, I was never neglected nor did any of my orders take too long to deliver. The drinks are great and the food is just as great with enough variety to satisfy most tastes without sacrificing quality! The prices are certainly reasonable considering the quality they offer; moreover, their happy hour deals are appealing with "late night" deals to boot! (See pictures below for happy hour info.) If there is any one thing that WILL bring me back again, it is their specialty drink "The Tea Ketel" (pictured in one of my photos). They make The Tea Ketel with an earl grey tea honey syrup that they make in house, and it tastes amazing!! It's like having a refreshing black tea with a hint of honey & oranges in it with that subtle cocktail kick to it. Never had a drink like it that was also on the bar's menu. If you go here, you must give it a try (if you can, have Andi make it for you — she makes them the best)! Enjoy!

Came in after seeing a movie next door! I usually love coming to a bar louie (usually the one in sugarland which is the only one i’ll probably ever go back to.) But we came in and walked to our table we wanted and assumed we would order at the bar since it is a little casual! We had a very pretty server come up to us while we ordered at the bar and very non-chalantly asked us if we were sitting at the bar. We told her we had chose a table but were under the impression we ordered and took our drinks back to our table. She followed up with a “so you’re already being helped?” and turned around. We weren’t sure if we were imposing on the bar seats or if we were meant to sit and wait for a server but she didn’t clarify and the whole situation seemed a little cold. She was also talking to two other gentleman who worked there. I apologized on our behalf and told them we weren’t sure since we hadn’t visited and one of the gentleman just briefly looked at me and back into his conversation. We then sat with our drinks and after a period of time waved down a server nearby and He first approached us and said “did yall want to order?” We asked for water and some menus to which he coldly and shortly responded with “You need to close out at the bar if you want to be served here and we asked if we would be able to close out with him and he said no. And walked away. He then heard us talk about how we were frustrated and asked if we wanted a menu and we said yes and a water if possible. I felt upset since technically we wouldn’t be charged for water and menus but we’re completely dissatisfied with our service. We heard the main three staff members talk about us (mentioning us by our description) right nearby us. They even kept grouping together and not helping other customers to the point we talked to another couple there and both agreed the service was poor :( I am a manager in hospitality and feel like even though the processes of the bar ask that we close out I think there’s a better way for servers to communicate with guests. This is a nice area and the drinks and food are good thanks to the bartenders but the servers seem to lack kindness and grace. It took away from our great night and we didn’t end up ordering food since we were meant to feel like a burden and not a customer or guest. TL;DR: Servers weren’t nice or kind and made us feel unwelcome to the point where we went elsewhere.

Katy, Texas is gradually adding more and more places for food and drink and many of them are clustered around a handful of different shopping and dining complexes. One such complex is known as La Centerra and one of the places for food and drink that I like is Bar Louie. With Bar Louie, you get a casual bar atmosphere with a restaurant that serves American style food. One major plus with Bar Louie is the beer selection- they have lots of craft options on tap and they rotate several of them, so you can always find something new to try. I like the food options at Bar Louie. I usually go for a sandwich or flatbread pizza. I like coming here for Happy Hour because they cut the prices on several of the appetizers, many of which are large enough to serve as a meal. They reduce the beer prices and other drink prices also, during happy hour, making this an economical place to visit at that time. The atmosphere at Bar Louie is casual and friendly. They have a nice size outdoor patio which I prefer when the weather is favorable. Parking is convenient, too, thanks to the large parking ramp located directly above the restaurant. The service is better now than in the past and that certainly impacts my review. I would have rated Bar Louie lower a year ago, but improvements in the past year convince me to increase my overall rating. Katy, Texas continues to grow and with growth comes more options for food and drink. Bar Louie is a nice addition to the local dining and drinking market and it’s a place I recommend, especially during happy hour.

I recently visited the Katy Bar Louie location last night at around 8 pm. Friends and I grabbed food and drinks and the experience wasn't overall the best and now it's truly turned horrible. Service wasn't the most attentive but we wrote that off as Saturday nights are busy and that was okay as long as we're just being treated fairly. I ordered the chicken tender entree and was supposed to not have the slaw and instead double fries. When the fist round of food came out the manager himself took the food out and asked if everything was okay I noticed the slaw and lack of extra fries but said it was okay as I didn't want to cause trouble and I could just simply remove it from my plate. As I started eating I noticed several of my fries were raw and hard I asked my friends if they were experiencing the same issue and they noticed mine and said we needed to send it back. We asked someone who wasn't our server about the issue and he brought out the server who saw the problem to take my food back. So there I went without food again for a while until she brought it back and it was visibly improved now. So we moved on when it came time to have our tabs ready she said she'd go get them. This took approximately 15 minutes just for her to arrive to our table without the tabs. She said the system erased the tabs so she needed to know what we ordered again to put it in. So now it's been 20 minutes since we asked for the receipts. When it finally gets brought we all give our cards back and wait for her to arrive. Before she arrived to the table I had already received the notification that the ticket was paid for as my banking gives me live notifications. When she returns I noticed I had two notifications on my back account for double the charges of 40.15 I tell the server and she says sorry and says she'll check the system. Another 5-7 go by and we then see her waiting on other tables rather than communicating with me what the issue with my card was. She noticed our surprised looks of lack of attention and said oh I checked it's only once I showed her my bank app with both charges to which she validated and said sorry let me get the manger out then. The manager Ahmed approaches and the whole table includes him in what's going on, without even going back to check he says it's your bank doing that not us. He was dismissive and took both my receipts that I had and said that he will handle it that the charges at the time were only just pending. I told him how I've visited this establishment many times and paid with the same card and that this has never happened before and that I was aware that it wasn't just pending it was genuinely charged twice. He said that if it wasn't pending in the next few days to come back to the location or to call and he will issue me the full 80.30 refund back. We asked to get this in writing many times and he refused to do so as "it was handled" and he would see to it himself. He refused to give us his name which made us worrisome that it wasn't actually going to be acknowledged if my chargers went through when I asked for the receipts. He refused to give them to me and I ended up getting one from the server that was just the finalized one without my card information. Needless to say we left unhappy with many unanswered & uneasy feelings/questions. Now moving on to today's issue as I called this afternoon at around 3:30 ish I spoke to the manager again due to the fact that the charges on my bank statement were no longer pending & both had gone through. I recorded this conversation just to avoid lies and have it for my sake in case anything was misconstrued. He went back on his word said that I said things I never said, accused me of yelling when again it's all recorded and never once did I yell. He was more bold to cut me off and disrespect me went back on everything he said the previous night when I had witnesses to this encounter. After all I asked for someone above him he said he'd give me the refund & ban me from the locations for asking for a refund on a...
