I'm not sure if bonfire is under New Management, yesterday 05/23 on our way through town we decided to place an online order at 9:50 to eat there and use our discount code since we get emails. When we arrived the place was packed and I asked the lady how long till our food after waiting 30 minutes. She said not long. But we started to notice that they were shutting down the tvs, music, turning the chairs upside down and closing the gate by 10:28. I thought this was very strange as I wanted it to eat the wings inside and the door on the sign says they close at 11:00 of course I wanted it to be gone before that time. We got our food at 10:40. After contemplating we decided to eat quickly an apologize if bothered since we did not want to eat in the car and we do not live in the area But as we were eating others customers did not receive the same kindness one young lady kept telling a guy he had to leave no dine in at 10:45 and after he kept eating a young gentleman with the sideways hat came running from the back to confront the men and was screaming at his face you need to leave. The poor African-American man grabbed his food and left. I'm not sure if it was because we were Hispanic or because we had my father with me but they let us eat. It was still awkward eating in silence and in a hostile environment By the time we were done by 10:50 the place was completely empty and they were counting the money!! By 10:55 we drove off and the lights were off and closed. I'm honestly sad to see the way people were treated in a place I loved eating. The food was ok but you can tell it was rushed. Little to none seasoning on fries and my sauce was water down. At least it was hot and fresh. I wondered if this is standard or if the owner know. If it is, either way, it was my dad's first time and I was embarrassed....

5 years ago I loved this place Excellent food and Service, but tonight I went in before 9 p.m. and was told by the cashier it was take out only!! They close at 10 p.m. I placed my order and was short change $5.00 because the cashier was so invested with the conversation she was having with her coworker. I'm assuming the conversation was more important than me, I let her know she owed me $5.00 she looked and said Oh, Ok. I decided to eat in my vehicle because I was already there I drove from downtown to this location. I sat there waiting and a party of 4 adults and 3 children came in after me they were told the same thing, they turned away and said let's go to wing stop and left they lost approximately $100.00 order this obviously didn't phase them at all. I finally received my order and was disappointed once again, What happened to the Amazing Boudin ball's, they were not as good as they use to be and the portion size change the 10 piece wing's were ok the French fries were horrible. I don't understand why there's no consistency here. Next time I'm going in the afternoon to see if the more mature women that use to work there have the afternoon shift, because these young adults do not put enough effort into customer service or the quality of the food they serve. One more chance and if it's no better I'll fine...

After reading reviews online, I decided to give bonfire a try. They state they close at 10pm. I pulled up at 948pm to get a to go order. The open sign was on still on. As I get out and walk to the door, the security guard locks the door! I look at the lady behind the counter and she just shrugs her shoulder. It's still 948pm on my phone. I call their number and it rings like 12 times before Rafael picks up. There are no customers in the dining room, all of the chairs are on top of the tables already. I ask rafael why did he lock the door on me. He claims that they close at 950pm every night. I told him I was there before 950pm. He says that the owner says they must close every night at that time. I ask him why does the sign on the door sat 10pm and online it says 10pm. He says the owner said to do it. I asked for the owner's name and number and he says he doesn't have any info about the owner, which is a lie, he's the manager. They're eating behind the counter, unwilling to wait on passing customers. I think they locked the door because I was black. I am going to contact the local, state and federal agencies about this discriminatory treatment. Do not give this place...

3.5 rating. Food was good. I believe the flavors are Cajun based, which will impact how you will or not like the food. I did like all my food however each of us in the group had different opinions on the food taste and rating. Cheese Boudin balls were good. Fries are delicious. It was a different experience to order wings. I did mention to them that they make it difficult for a new wing customer to experience their food. They only separate wing flavors in quantity of 10. Since my kids only like to eat one flavor, us adults were only able to try 3 flavors when we're used to eating more than 5 -6 types. And they won't give you a side of extra sauce or butter to season your wings more when it's only dry rub. We spent about $15-$20 more than usual to try more flavors. I think it's a good place to eat, just take extra time to plan your order for your group.

I just had the ABSOLUTE WORST experience at your restaurant on Woodforest. The tables and floors were dirty, and Every single item we ordered was overcooked and old except for the fries. When we took the boudin balls back to the counter and asked for new ones because they were cold and almost black from being old and overcooked hours before they took those same boudin balls and fried them AGAIN and gave them back to us. The wings were so dry and overcooked we could not even eat them. We spent almost 60 dollars for one of the absolute worst restaurant experiences we have EVER had and the girls behind the counter could not care less. They sat behind the counter giving us dirty looks the entire time after we asked for the boudin balls to be remade. Our family goes out to eat as a treat once a week on Sundays and we wasted a Sunday on this place for sure.
