Italian Express Pizzeria — Restaurant in Texas

I genuinely didn’t want to write this, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Despite the many glowing reviews and the restaurant’s popularity in the community, I have to say, this is not authentic Italian food. Before posting this, I actually reached out to the owner to discuss my concerns directly, hoping there might be some resolution or understanding. I wasn’t looking for a refund, just a chance to have the food remade, as I thought maybe we’d just received an off batch. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. We ordered two dishes: the meatballs with spaghetti and the chicken parmesan. The meatballs tasted pre-packaged, like something from a frozen bag, and the chicken had the texture and look of processed nuggets topped with marinara and cheese. The pasta itself was extremely waterlogged, as if it had been pre-cooked earlier in the day and reheated later. I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, especially for a local spot that many people in the community support. But I believe people should know what to expect before dining here. Wow! I'm amazed! I had a horrible experience with Pizza Hut last week, was disgusted, Domino's is the only a fair option out here, so I decided to try something different this time and man!! I do not regret it! Pizza was better than most chain restaurants, wings were also better than Pizza Hut and Dominos, the crust was an almost thin crust, was really perfect in thickness. ( They are not depending on all dough) The sauce was not some Ragu with a load of sugar..The sauce was just right.. The ingredients are a bit subpar but not a deal breaker, The prices are mixed- some things are priced fairly and some a little over the top.. The place is caters mainly for pick up and delivery, There are however a few tables for people coming in pairs, the place looked clean and staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I LOVE pizza and this place and the reviews didn't let us down! As another reviewer wrote, the East side of Houston doesn't have a wide selection of good eateries, but this place is definitely a diamond in the rough. We got the 2-topping XL Pizza with 12 wings for $18.99 +tax. The taste of the pizza was incredible and is comparable to some of the other great pizzerias in Houston. The wings were good, but not as great as the pizza (Bonfire Wings are in the complex next door though). Definitely will be going back!!!!

**NOTE - This place seemed family ran, so if you're in a hurry, you shouldn't go here because it will take a little while to fix. They were very apologetic for the time we waited and wasn't use to the volume of customers that had came at the particular time...
