Carnes Asadas Nuevo Leon — Restaurant in Texas

First time here. Place was highly recommended by a close friend of mine. It was slow when we first arrived. The decor was simple yet it felt homey. We were greeted by a friendly lady upon arrival. She took our beverage orders and handed us the menus. We were served a small cup of charro beans, tostadas, & assorted salsas while waiting for our food. We decided to order the Parrillada RGV for 2pp which consisted of both grilled beef & chicken fajitas with the grilled onions served on a steaming hot plate, a bowl of Spanish rice, bowl of refried beans, and choice of tortillas. Wow! The portions on this plate was huge. I will say that easily 4pp could share this plate. The food was delicious. Disappointing Meal & Overpriced Water

We ordered the parrillada for two, chicken nuggets, and three waters. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming—bland and lacking flavor. The chicken nuggets and fries were overly greasy, making the meal feel heavy and unappetizing.

To make matters worse, we were charged $3 each for basic HEB water bottles, bringing our total to $67—far too expensive for the quality we received.

Overcooked meat and chicken, quality not worth the price. The good: Salsas are good, and food is packed in a professional manner. Place is clean and organized.
