ROACHES!!!! Worst part of today3/13/25: visit to Chiliās Sharyland Mission Texas. Hostess at the front does not greet me until Hostess 2 arrives- Iām a party of 1 seated within a min. or so. Iām taken to a table but before I can finish my request for an alternate seat, I realize I have not been heard as the hostess has left to reconvene with others.
I waited several minutes for waitstaff (who are situated at the end of the row facing me) One finally comes over says her name -took my order. āA 3 for me pleaseācoke, side salad with ranch, sirloin with butter garlic mushrooms instead of broccoli , thank you.ā āloaded mash?ā she says, I say āyes, pleaseā
Drink comes quickly, shortly thereafter the side salad comes, I pour the ranch onto the small cup sized salad and start eating while reading my work e-mails, one bite, two, as i move for my 3rd bite - thereās a surprise- a šŖ³ drenched in ranch sticking to the side of the bowl! THANKFULLY I WAS LOOKING at the bowl and not my phone!!!
Iām immediately disgusted grabbing napkins as I feel green, gagging & spitting out remnants of my most recent bite- I call for the waiter passing by, āexcuse me sir, hello-sir, SIR???! DUDE?ā, but of course heās possibly deaf or simply just ignores me even as I shout yet again āHEY SIRā. I am sure by now the entire restaurant hears me, does anyone come over? Absolutely NOT! I donāt know maybe this is a common occurrence at this establishment maybe theyāre used to it.
Since no one comes, I STAND UP, AND SHOUT, EXCUSE ME THEREāS ROACH IN MY FOOD! I show the people next to me, one goes āewwwā - one hostesses starts my way looking around like she wants someone else to handle it-
No one has a sense of urgency, no one is rushing over to investigate-the remaining staff appears totally unbothered. Meanwhile my stomach is in knots because at the first mention of an insect in the middle of a restaurant it would seem to be of most urgent importance that a manager or an employee would immediately run over to mitigate the situation!
I grab my keys and just leave because what is taking so long???? and as soon as I get to my car my brain snaps āyou should have taken a photoā, so I go back inside and my table is bare, the bowl, cup, and mountain of napkins, gone! But there are people gathered where I was sitting. The manager is called from the back and immediately asks āWhy did you do that? Why would you shout like that?ā.
āThere was a roach in my food and when I tried to get someoneās attentionā- she interrupts me and says āNo one saw a roach, we asked the people next to you, did you get a photo?ā
I tell her to bring the bowl back out, itās sticking to the side covered in ranch, I can show you, to which she quickly responds itās in the trash. No āIām sorry this happened, my apologies, are you ok?ā Let me go get it.ā Nothing. (in my mind, If itās in the trash it should be right on top, right so go look)
Thankfully, my meal hadnāt come yet because I will never eat, drink or even use the restroom there ever again. I hope they get shut down! A ROACH! IN MY FOOD THAT I WAS EATING!!!!!OH MY GOD, I CANNOT GET THAT VISION OUT OF MY HEAD! EVERYONE WHO WORKS THERE IS GROSS AND SHOULD BE FIRED OR AT LEAST SENT BACK TO RESTAURANT MAINTENANCE CLASSES OR WHATEVER IT IS THEY DO IN THAT BUSINESS.
Iām so pissed, shaking even, & disappointed, I walked out without a photo of the roach in the bowl (everyone knows a roach when you see one and I know they saw it, they had to have seen it). I was hungry AF too as I-only had a sip of soda & a portion of my roach tainted side salad. On top of that when asked for corporate she gives me a card with the number to HER store!!!    Read moreSo we went today to enjoy a family dinner. A nice lady offered us a booth and we waited for our waitress. Then a waitress by the name of Stephanie came and introduced herself. Took our orders and went on her way. Short story: cook and waitress forgot about my wife burger. How do I know they forgot? Well I said "excuse me, what about my wife dish?" And she responded "mmm what did you order?" My wife told her, a bacon burger. And she said "Oh ok, let me see". She came back and said "They will make your burger right now, sorry" and left. By now my wife was not happy. Then she noticed that the corn that she had ordered for my daughter, as a side dish; instead of season fries was not there. Fries came with her burger. She asked and said again: "mmm ok let me go and get one". My wife was mad now. Then my son said that his burger had came with vegetables and we had cleared requested :not veggies:. Again we asked what happened and she said "Oh I know, sorry". That is it. Like I was hoping you not to notice. Ok now my wife was furious. Stephanie came and asked if everything was good. Oh, what a magical question. We kept our composure and instead of saying "well we told you no veggies and your brought it with veggies, we asked for a corn and you brought us season fries and you still have not brought my wife burger and everyone is almost done with there dishes". But, no, we kept our composure and said can you bring us more drinks. Our glasses were empty. What can I say? The experience was awful. I hope Carlos SÔnchez (general manager) reads these reviews. I still believe is a good place, but the waitress did a bad job. And had zero emphaty toward what we were experiencing at that moment. Like I said I still believe in the chilli's experience, just not this one. I am out... Yes we still paid the $64.97...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreService took incredibly long as I was sat at the back of the back of the restaurant and served by a waitress named Shelby. It took longer than usual to be greeted and served while she was very rude taking our order and cooperating with our add ons. The food was fine but she never came to check on my table even when I requested a refill and side dressing. It was really crazy to have experienced this service as there was several parties she was prioritizing catering to even after I would ask something from her. I guess she had a particular issue with me as she served my friend a to go drink & box while making me pour my own drink into an empty cup and didnāt bring me enough boxes. Eventually she stopped coming after asking for the ticket and saying we were paying cash so I went to the front desk to ask for a manager and pay. She came back and told me to pay with her with an attitude and didnāt bring me my change. Crazy to assume I would tip this behavior when we pay just as much as everyone in the restaurant. She passed and I asked for my receipt and change, she came and threw it on my table and walked away. I was extremely disappointed with her service and was grateful this store has an understanding manager. Thank you for acknowledging the situation and I hope this server has a change of attitude with the customers no matter the age or appearance. Discrimination is...
