Been coming here for almost 20 years.

I can honestly say this is the best restaurant in the United States of America.

You are always welcomed and quickly seated.

The green salsa is a flavor experience, the tangy tomatillo/onion/cilantro flavor will make it hard for you not to fill up on it. The red salsa is closer to a traditional Mexican salsa, and packs a ton of flavor too. They are quick to slap down another bowl of chips and bring out more of the salsas that you would swear were made by the lord himself.

Order a bowl of queso with some sliced jalapeños. Repeat this process: chip, queso, jalapeño, and a little scoop of green salsa on top. It’s a one way ticket to flavortown on a train with no brakes.

I always get the “Dos” with cheese enchiladas. The crispy taco meat is seasoned to perfection, and the queso puff somehow tastes even better than the chips and queso you ordered.

The enchiladas are the star of the show. The waiter will bring out a plate that is approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit with the enchiladas, smothered in chili gravy and boiling. I believe they serve it at this temperature so that you must wait and honor the greatness that has just been put in front of you while waiting for it to cool down. Eat more green salsa and eventually your enchiladas will be at a temperature where you’re ready to dig in. The chili gravy is what turns these enchiladas up to a 1,000,000 on a scale of 1-10. One bite and you’ll know what I mean. And best of all, it’s budget friendly! The cost of this outstanding culinary accomplishment has only gone up 4 bucks in nearly 20 years.

Eva’s is the best-kept secret in H-Town. You will not be disappointed. Any time I have a friend visiting from out-of-state, I take them here and they wonder why their state has to suck so bad. When I die, bury me at Eva’s!...

Eva's is the best Mexican restaurant I've had the pleasure of enjoying. The food is exceptional and full of flavor. The wait staff is always hospitable and quick to service their guests with smiles and great attitudes. They always make Eva's experience wonderful. Chips and salsa are presented to your table in red and green and have the reminence of the Mexican flag. The right amount of spice with chunks of onion and cilantro in the green salsa gives that kick to your taste buds, which lets you know you're in the right place. The red salsa is cool and smooth but leaves you wanting more. Bewareful of this all you can enjoy appetizer, for you will forget the reason you've visited this eatery, lol... While there's not a wrong meal to order from Eva's menu, im sure of it, I recommend the enchiladas. Order two or three of these warm and soft corn tortillas. Wrapped inside, your choice of seasoned beef, tender, juicy and savory chicken or steak will have you salivating. Top with a warm yet mild chili sauce and a mildly sharp cheddar cheese that has been melted onto your enchiladas with perfection, will have you wanting more. These delicious enchiladas are paired with your choice of seasoned beans and savory Spanish rice that is served on a hot plate. "Can't wait to get back home...

I flew into Houston from NY, (I know I know) but Eva’s is a right of passage for my best friend, and boy were they right, Eva’s is DELICIOUS. All the right flavors, the staff is awesome and attentive. I’ve now made 2 stops there within 10 days, that’s saying a lot with everything spring/downtown has to offer. It will be a tradition from now on every time I come down to the great state of Texas! Now! What did I eat? First trip was the “uno” a crispy beef taco with all the trimmings with a culinary wonder called the queso puff, and a cheese enchilada that was out of this world. It came bubbling in its sauce that left a desire to risk it all and scorch your mouth, accompanied with green and red salsa, crispy house made chips and a bubbling bowl of queso. Now the second time I got the lunch fajita plate and that thing came out SIZZLING. With tortillas, beans and delicious rice, accompanied by the very same salsas, chips and queso. What a place, they will have my business every time I visit gods promise land....

Eva’s isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a culinary love letter wrapped in tortillas and sealed with a smile. I ordered the pollo special and asked for it with a little extra heat
and honey, they delivered. The spice was chef’s kiss perfection, bold but not brutal, just how I like it. The waiters? Sweet, attentive, and genuinely kind. You’d think they were hosting you in their abuela’s kitchen. Prices? So reasonable I had to double-check the bill like
is this a prank? Topped it all off with a creamy horchata that made me want to dance a little cumbia in my seat. Trust me, Eva’s is that feel-good spot you didn’t know you needed.

Ordered 3 enchilada meal, the food was very dissatisfied the refried beans watery enchiladas themselves were destined spectacular the thief was wasn't as tender or seasoned and it was stuffed with cheese and cheese sauce so it's very cheesy very overpowered. raspberry tea didn't taste very good Nor the lemonade. We tried it because my wife saw it while on some errands. I will not patronize this place again. First impression Latin food should be a taste filled experience...

Well this was our first time here and I was really impressed. The tamales where not good at all I was really disappointing. 😭 Another thing I wasn’t a big fan of was the queso it was pretty watery. The chicken mole enchiladas were pretty good. The beef enchiladas were pretty good as well. The service was good the waiter stayed on top of things. I do recommend trying it if you have been curious about this spot.
