Laides and Gentelmen this is going to be a long one: -full disclosure- I have a beloved memories of Godfather's Pizza. So it is possible my nostalgia could play heavy here. There is an old saying "even bad pizza is good pizza" I would agree to an extent. Godfather's pizza lies on both ends of the spectrum. I visited the Galveston store on the sea wall over a year ago and it was bad, bad to the point of unedible. A couple months ago I found a Godfather's express in Beaumont at a Loves truck stop. That personal pizza tickled the memories of my childhood. That put me on a prusit for the honest to goodness, real deal in Godfather's pizza. Then I discovered on Google a full fledged Godfather's pizza was 30 minutes away. I was all ahead full, as soon as I breeched the door I was hit in the face with the unmistakable smell. "This is It" The staff was very friendly I even had a long talk with the owner who insisted we eat the first piece in the restaurant (and yes this is a full service restaurant.) He hand delivers my to-go pizzas to the table. I take the first bite and instantly I'm 10 years old and back at the Baytown store with my Dad. This is what I've been looking for. This is what not only Godfather's is but, pizza is as a whole. The negative people say negative things. I say; pay them a visit, order it to go, get it fresh, and eat the first bite in the restaurant. You will not be disappointed. (Only half the pizza made it home the rest was consumed on the 30 min ride home)

I'm writing this live as I'm experiencing it. First time visit on Sunday at 2:45 PM. The place has no customers, that is a plus as I didn't have to wait to order. This is the type of place where you go up to the register to order, then seat yourself. A negative factor is the fountain drinks are watered down. The front cashier man, (older black guy) was sleepy and had a no personality. A big turn off was that he kept coughing. But I'm taking my chances and still ordering. Ok, so I got the pizza in 10 minutes: the sauce is thick and flavorful. But they are cheap with the toppings. The picture attached is sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes. As you can see very small amount of toppings. The crust is decently thick. Overall this is average pizza. If you are nearby you should stop in. But defenetly do not make more than a 10 minute drive for this, it's not worth it.

Godfather's was really good. It was also a pleasant surprise to find out they were black-owned and operated. The ingredients were of good quality and the flavor was awesome. We got thin crust and it was equally appetizing. The only downside was the wait in line to order. Also, you cannot place an order online at the Humble location, you have to call. I kept calling for hours and was unable to get through. As I waited in the long line, which extended outside, I continued to try to call. I finally got through, placed an order and was able to pick my order up in 40 minutes. All in all, it was really good, somewhat worth the wait and I would go again.😊

I’ve been eating Godfathers Pizza for years and I can for sure say after what I experienced today I will NEVER be back! Once I made it home, my family and I realized the pizza was overly salty. I called to inquire about what the company’s service recovery methods were. The owner, Eric Hollins informed me he’s been working at the establishment since 1989 and that they have never used salt. Again, I’ve never had this salt problem. He said they don’t allow refunds and that I would have to bring the pizza back(obviously some pieces were missing since we had to taste it. He asked me where were the missing pieces. Wow) This was a huge inconvenience to drive to the store and argue with the story owner. He’s very unprofessional and should definitely update his customer service training since he’s been the store owner since 1989 ( a lot has changed). Tenure doesn’t matter if you can’t conduct business in the most respectful manner. The front desk cashier (Darian) was rude as well. Not understanding at all and she didn’t have to intervene with a separate issue. I hate I had to spend my money with this company. ALSO, the system is outdated. I visited this location today, July 29th, my receipt says July 30th. Eric said he would have to inquire with the owner of the building (it’s a family business). That really needs to be fixed if others are calling about their order and would like to reference...

I didn't leave a bad review the first time we came to this establishment 6 months ago because the error they made was made right by giving us money off our order. Thought they would have it together by now, but tonight they proved wrong.

Ordered the deal two medium pizzas with two sides online. When we got there to pick the order up, they had the pizzas ready but not our sides which were bread sticks and the cheese bread. They ended up giving giving a breadstick to another patron that was dining in (which is fine) but then when that customer took it back to their table and realized it wasn't what they ordered they brought it back. The girl working then stacked that breadstick on top of our pizza and was ready to give it to me - ummm no, I don't want something that another customer clearly took with them back to their table and then brought back! They finally figured everything out and I received my full order...30 mins after the time they said it would be ready.

The workers working the front of the restaurant seem like they don't really know what they're doing or how to manage the orders. They clearly need one person working the register, one person working the to go orders that are ready and someone taking the phones. Because the two workers they had tonight were clearly...
