Okay so I ordered immediately got salmon sashimi and a curry ramen, waited over 30 mins for the ramen, and in the meantime I clearly asked the waitress if due to the inconvenience of time could I get the cheapest app. On the menu which was cucumbers… for free I was clear on that because that’s the least they could do. Because the ramen was taking so long, I was served the cucumbers and the ramen at the same time, the ramen is to come with a side of fried chicken…. Was that there when presented the ramen? No….. I tasted the said “Curry” ramen. No color and no flavor. Not spicy at all. I set aside and communicated to the waitress that it was unsatisfactory. And instead of completely wasting my time and not getting anything for dinner I ordered a different ramen in hopes to have a better experience with the establishment. She offered me to still get the friend chicken with the new ramen. I said yea I suppose that’s fine, I wait another 15/20 mins for the new ramen to be ready. Then I go to check out and the simple $3.95 cucumbers that I asked for free In apology of the wait and elongated time to receive any main course food was still being charged, it’s the principle and customer service I was looking for not the free food. I communicate it with the host and she was dumbfounded and was like well you got served the cucumber right and I elaborated what and why they were even ordered and the waitress comes along and acted suddenly confused. I still rang up but I feel that the customer service was definitely lacking in the communication department and understanding of what the customer wanted…. And the cherry on top, the whole duration of my stay. I watched a couple sit down, order, the same curry, and get served with everything (included the fried chicken) still before I even checked out, so why did I wait so long??? The charge was inaccurate and I will be disputing because this is was not right I also wasn’t interested in causing a scene so I’m patiently waiting outside to go back inside and return the ramen given to me . People need to understand that service establishment need actual good service
UPDATE: got home! The replacement ramen they gave me! SAME RAMEN no flavor very bland and I’ll definitely not be ordering or going to this...
Read moreGrand opening 9/27/2018 I would say they had a huge success especially for this area. Ramen sold out by the end of lunch! With any new business in an area you're not too sure about bringing in a new concept of course it's natural to misjudge how popular or how many people have been waiting to try the newest addition to the neighborhood.
Granted I had every intention to try both ramen and sushi after getting off work, I am still very satisfied with the sushi quality selections and flavor was on point! New anything will be growing pains, I am confident after speaking to some of the management team they are surely to be prepared for the upcoming days weeks and months ahead. Can't base opinion on first day...trial and error.
Sushi flavor as most will know must compliment fish, sushi rice, sauce, and combo of all ingredients plays an important role...they have it spot on! I'm giving 5 stars for that very reason. Will return Saturday for ramen, I'm sure it will be as amazing as their sushi.
Atmosphere: It is not what you expect! In a strip center next to Jimmy Johns but when you walk in there's a wow factor decor, ambiance as though you are downtown, mid town or heights area.
Service: Awesome management team that was ready to remedy any first day grand opening growing pains needs. Sushi chefs were personable with a dash of entertainment in their response to patrons questions and comments. Loved it laughed quit a bit which made me forget about not being able to order ramen.
My personal opinion is to don't judge them or any business on their first day of business by little kinks that needs to be ironed out, go back give it another shot...it might be your most favorite go up spot. Will give update review after my Saturday visit looking forward to some yummy ramen. Yep I'm Asian we love...
Read moreI've been here about a half dozen times as a treat to myself, and every time, this place exceeds my expectations. Firstly, the place is always perfectly clean. Never a dirty table or messy restroom, which says a lot about a place in my opinion. I always order a chef special sushi roll of my choice as well as the spicy miso ramen (my favorite) with a drink and it comes up to about 25 bucks before tip. If I'm extra hungry I may get an appetizer but one roll and a bowl of ramen is a lot of food already, so keep that in mind. I decided I wanted something sweet so this time I got the mochi ice cream that was so delicate and smooth. The food tastes amazing and the staff is so nice. They don't harass you every five minutes but come right when you need, so they're paying attention and not just standing around. They have a big menu with a wide variety of classic Japanese appetizers, ramen flavors (customizable if you don't like onions or mushrooms, or if you want extra meat or egg) and sushi rolls, as well as a really affordable lunch special of 3 half rolls, which is a lot for like 15 bucks. If you're getting that sushi craving or want to try your first bowl of authentic ramen, this is a great choice with prices that are pretty reasonable for one....
