I will preface by saying I’ve never had a bad experience at hooters in my life prior. I literally had the worst experience/service of my life last night. I did not get the girls name which was a mistake. Our waitress seemed like she did not want to be there and made the effort to show us. Took over 30 minutes to get 3 beers on a super slow night. I had to go to the bar and ask the manager about our beers. That really upset our waitress, so as you can imagine her horrible attitude got worse (didn’t think it was possible). She ignored us, wouldn’t ask if we needed anything, and constantly walked past our table intentionally without stopping. I was there for at least 2 hours and received one beer. This was the last straw for my party and I as we asked for the check and I proceeded to tell her that I would I like all of my change. THIS HAS TO BE THE CRAZIEST PART OF THE STORY. She did not bring me all of my change and kept some for herself. At this point the whole situation was so obsurd that I had to tell the manager what was going on with his employee (Her attitude/keeping my change aka stealing). The same waitress then walks up to us as we are talking and says “thanks for the money.” I couldn’t even grasp what was happening, I told the manager I would be calling his boss and corporate to ensure that the waitress loses her job. I would highly recommend not going to this hooters, it would be a...
Read moreThe waitress’s attitude seemed like she didn’t want to work there. She did not smile, she just asked if we needed anything if we said no she would just walk away. She had short black hair, long eyelashes. I didn’t even get her name. This was my second time being at hooters and honestly my first experience was so much better. I definitely would not come back to this location. Would rather take the food home. Today we took out my mother in law out to eat for Mother’s Day and it was just sad that she did not completely enjoy the service. I have worked in food before and have been a manager before therefore I was disappointed . Then when we asked for a to go box we waited about 15 minutes to see if we could get her attention while she was smiling, being super friendly, and talkative to a group of guys who just had been seated. I understand it’s hooters and she may think she would get tipped better with a group of guys or simply may just know them but that’s not how it works. All customers should be treated equal. If she was friendly she would’ve gotten a much better tip because we all have worked in the food industry and when we receive good service then we definitely love to make sure that person gets tipped well. We came around 1:30 and the total of our bill was $60.00 but otherwise the food was good. The staff all together should just look more friendly instead of...
Read moreGood location but service is spotty. I checked other reviews before I came out. Most Hooters in Houston suffer from food service issues--wrong orders, long wait times, or poor customer service. I think Hooters has the same problem all restaurants have today--you can't get people under 25 who want to do this work. In addition mgmt. in most places is inconsistent and not watching staff closely. Better hiring practices would help. I did okay when I came here, but I knew it was a gamble. I would not take that chance again. As a rule I avoid restaurants today---too much chance of food poisoning plus dealing with bad service. Houston has too many restaurants today serving mediocre overpriced meals with poor customer service. It's just not worth the hassle anymore. Service work is hard, and good employees who can do this well day after day are tough to recruit and retain. I'm 62, and back in the 70s my generation was very glad to have any job. We had to do it well, or we knew we'd be gone. There were plenty of people waiting to replace us. Young people today don't have that pressure anymore. Hooters is a good place to get a start. If you're lucky enough to work in one well managed, you can make some...
