We consistently receive subpar service at this location, but tonight (about 10pm) was the worst. My husband waited in the front waiting area for 10 minutes and wasn’t so much as even acknowledged by the four workers who saw him standing there. The manager was dressed in different clothing and paced back and forth by food area and did not help him. Two employees observed him standing there as they walked in and clocked in at the front register (white female and black male). A Hispanic male came to the front to chat with them to let them know that the receipt paper thing was working. None of these employees greeted, acknowledged, or attempted to assist or take my husband’s order. When he came back to the car, a car full of young people got out and walked inside. Wr watched them get greeted and seated immediatel! We decided to drive a few exits further out to get take out from the Humble location instead.
This visit to the Humble location has been eye opening for me because not only did we receive prompt service, but our food quality was 10 times better!! And it was still piping hot by the time we got back to our home in Porter to eat it. We now realize that we’ve sacrificed so much in food quality and customer service by continuing to visit the Porter location just because it is closer to our home. At the Humble location, my hashbrowns were amazing and I enjoyed them very much! I really had melted cheese on them and a tall layer of soft and fluffy shredded potatoes. They were moist and not dry and burnt like what I usually get from the Porter location. Also, I don’t know what’s up with the cheese at the Porter location because they always give me burnt, flat, and crispy hashbrowns that look like a yellow piece of plastic has melted on it. They are terrible. I usually exclude the eggs in my combo at the Porter location and cook them myself at home because those from Porter make my stomach feel queasy. The eggs that I got from Himble location were light, fluffy, and very tasty…cooked exactly how I like them. I enjoyed them very much with no queasy feeling to my stomach when I ate them.
Everytime I order specialty pancakes from Porter location, I have to check and then remind the waiter to give me the whip cream and strawberries that come with the type of pancakes that I’ve ordered…EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!! Or else, I end up at home with my pancakes with the toppings missing. I am thankful that this was not my experience at the Humble location tonight.
We will continue to just drive further out to the Humble location for our late night breakfast adventures going forward. However, it is my hope that someone from management is able to address these concerns with the staff in order to make some needed improvements to the customer experience at this location. Read moreTerrible service! We had to ask for refills from any wait staff passing by! Our waitress was MIA after our food came out! A large party was seated next to us and they waited on them like royalty! Brought them napkins, and refilled their drinks. This included our waitress and the two male managers. We concluded that they had to be somewhat related to them! I complained to one of the managers and he passed me off to the other one..while I was explaining what was going on.. he picked up a running kid and took him to whoever he belonged to and left me standing there for several minutes! I went and sat back down.. he came around to our table. I complained and he offered a discount.. which we did not take! The family behind us also was treated like we were... so we asked the manager to give them the discount he offered us. Even, after the terrible service we received..we left a tip for the waitress. We give praise when we receive good service and sometimes when we don't.. we don't complain but this incident was too much! Read moreUnsatisfactory... terrible service!!!! Ashlee took our orders and brought out most of the meals. One meal was missing the flavored pancakes. One whole meal was completely missing. The pancakes and missing meal was not brought to the table for almost 20 minutes. I flagged another waitress named Alexa and asked her to tell our waitress Ashlee that we were still waiting for part of our order and we needed refills on drinks. Ashlee came to the table and offered to comp the missing meal. Jenny, another waitress came to the table after and had a nasty attitude asking what our problem was and insisted that the missing food came out seconds after. The customer at my table that waited over 20 minutes for her meal told Jenny that she didn't even want the food. After that Jenny "snatched" the food from in front of her and proceeded to throw it away. Jenny was very rude and didn't handle the situation to my satisfaction. My bill was $48.63 for only 3 meals. One of the customers paid for his own meal and the one, that took over 20 minutes to come to the table, was comped by Ashlee.
