Extremely unhappy! Don't buy the extended warranty! I have been waiting 4 weeks for my washing machine to get fixed. Not because I am waiting on parts but because Home Depot is outsourcing the warranty department over seas. I have had to call them well over 15 times! The phone calls get disconnected, transferred or they just can't find what they need. They gave me an appointment for a week later only for me to take the day off work for no one to show up. A week after that a company showed up and told me that the spin cycle was torn up. It would be better if they just replaced the washing machine. The warranty center didn't want to do that so he ordered all the parts. I had to call the warranty center again to schedule another appointment but they said they couldn't find the same company on their computer. Another week later a different company came out only to say they needed more parts. He never even opened all of the boxes. Now I'm being told but the warranty department that they CAN send the original company out. Between the parts and charges they have to pay these companies they are well over what the washing machine cost in the first place and that was just over a year ago. WHY? WHY would you spend more money on fixing something rather than just replace it. I have had to take 3 days off of work. Over 15 called and hours on the phone with this warranty center and I'm still waiting. None should have to spend this much time on trying to get something fixed . Call after call being dropped and they literally have your phone number and they don't bother to even call you back. You just have to call again and again explaining over and over what is going on. Read moreI'm a contractor so I shop at numerous HD's, years ago this used to be my favorite store, sadly it has continually gone down hill. Even prior to the pandemic I had to call a store manager while standing in line to get him to send help for the pro desk, there were close to 20 people waiting and 1 associate at the desk. Fast forward to my recent trips there lately, they've removed all cashier's except for the 1-2 at the contractors entrance. The line at that checkout is always to the back of the store, which makes trying to get lumber off that isle a nightmare, not to mention having to wait 30-45 minutes to be checked out. The line at the "self checkout" is just as bad, the picture is after standing in line for 10 minutes. All HD's are like this now since they've removed the cashier's, it's literally like shopping at Walmart, which isn't a pleasant experience. I'm not a fan of Lowe's, but I'm really considering shopping there instead, at least they have a few cashier's, I haven't had to wait so long to checkout there and time is money to a contractor. I'd like to add one more thing concerning the covid precautions, it doesn't really do me any good for you to make your employees wear a mask if I have to stand in a packed line to check out, then use a hand scanner that 5k other people have just touched!
