I've been to this restaurant twice and after this last visit I will not be ordering food from here in the future. I'm used to ordering Chinese or Japanese food that is "spicy". In general I order Orange chicken or General Tsao's Chicken frequently when I order Chinese Takeout (both spicy dishes); most places I have tried use those dried red chili peppers or they use chopped jalapenos WITHOUT THE SEEDS. When using jalapenos, generally it is understood that you use jalapeno's flesh (the outer green part) for flavoring and remove the inner core which contains the seeds because the core contains the majority of the Capsaicin. When I ate all of the chicken I noticed an excessively large amount of jalapeno seeds in the sauce and the slices of Jalapeno they garnished the dish with still had the core and seeds attached. Within 12 hours of eating the dish my upper lip became so inflamed from the capsaicin the sauce absorbed that my lip was painfully tender and the skin was dried out and itchy. It has been 5 days since I ate the food and my lip STILL HURTS. I've been putting ointment on it nonstop. As far as I could tell their take out menu shows a chili pepper symbol next to the spicy dishes but there is no description of the food beyond labeling the dish as spicy. You could say it was my own dumb fault for ordering something labeled spicy and then complaining about it being too spicy, but simply put I have never had a spicy Chinese food dish that caused me pain afterwards. I expect the heat/burn that comes with eating the food; I did not plan on having my lip burned and hurting for DAYS. Beyond the excessive spice factor, the fried rice had next to no flavor and was very disappointing. I was happy with the orange chicken I ordered the first time I ordered food from this establishment so I'm not sure what happened between then and now. It is because of the orange chicken that this is a 2 star review instead of a 1 star review. I cannot speak to their customer service since I only order take out and don't eat in the restaurant. Their food may be fairly inexpensive but I highly suggest you spend your money at another...
Read moreRead moreMy family has been patronizing this business for a very long time, 10 years or thereabouts. Not only has the quality of the food deteriorated over time, but, the attitude of new staff is completely rude, crude, and unacceptable. A couple of days ago, ( Friday July 23rd ) we were shopping next door at Krogers', the wife decide to go over and order food that we would pick up after we were done shopping, there was a much younger Asian male than the staff we usually see there. My wife approached to order when the guy basically sticks his index finger in her face and yells "stay back, I don't know what you have!!!! " Really nasty tone of voice too, maybe it is a cultural thing to yell at people and command them like dogs, but this is not the way to talk to anyone. We were both masked, never even came within 9 feet of this guy, his demeanor was ugly, I understand precautions that they may want to take due to covid, but here is the kicker. How were we to pay him, order our food, receive our food from them if they are so paranoid and rude?? Then again, we are to trust them to prepare our food??? Maybe they know something we don't, we do however know this, it took no time to find several other Chinese restaurants in the area where the staff was friendly and the food was just as good or better. No one needs to put up with rude service from any business that has a disrespectful attitude towards customers. Our business will never again go to this restaurant. By the way, while he yelled at us and was completely out of line when he implied we were sick or infected people, both my wife and I are military veterans and thus vaccinated against more diseases ( covid included ) than 99% of the the World's population, the young Asian fellow ..... Perhaps not as well protected, but preparing our...
First time around here was good; unfortunately, yesterday I didn't have a great experience. Kendall was very rude, she didnt ask if i wanted my food for here or to go and just placed my order. When i told her i wanted to eat here she said, with an attitude, "Could just eat in the to go boxes?"I was puzzled. I asked her "y'all dont have dinner plates?" She said "yes we do, but i already sent it to the back." I told her to please go in the back and tell them i would like to eat here instead. She sits me next to the only other table with customers, I just wait for my food. She's checking in on the other table making sure they're alright, didn't check on me one time, didn't even bring or offer water. At this point, im ready to go, I get up and ask for my own to go box since she's not even serving me or asking me if I need anything. She has the nerve to say, "Can you tip me one or two dollars?" I said, "excuse me, for what?" She said, "because of the table, can you tip me one or two dollars." I look at her and I chuckled, I said "we'll see." Mind you, she did not service me, not once, she just took my order and dropped off the food; but demanded a two dollar tip. I want the boss to see this and give her a good talk about customer service cause this is unacceptable. I've been in the food industry for over seven years. I've also been waitress and never in my life have I asked somebody to tip me, this is ridiculous. I will not be coming back here again, she ruined the...
