As much as I love Jitterz, today was not the day. I love their coffee and espresso since it’s strong enough to give me the daily kick and smooth enough to prevent the secondary heartburn I usually experience from other coffee shops. The young lady taking my order today was helpful in providing new recommendations for me, which k really enjoyed.
The atmosphere was a 0 out of 10. I don’t remember the noise level ever being what it was today. I enjoy coffee shops as a location to study for my board exam and when my boyfriend asked if I wanted to join him at Jitterz so I could study while he worked on a couple of work projects I was all for it since I had never studied at Jitterz. Little did I know this was the worst decision I made. We quickly found a sitting area near their large window, it was a semi packed with a mix of casual groups and other groups who were diligently working/studying. Unfortunately the area we decided to sit in was the loudest. The first loud group we encountered was tolerable since I had my earphones. The second group was unbearable, and their noise level amplified every time a young male barista would approach their table. I hate for this review to sound like a fun-sucking review because it was not the intention. This is only for awareness for others who are looking for a quiet/moderate noise level atmosphere for work or studying. It could’ve been because I decided to utilize this area as a study space during the weekend as well. I will have to return during a weekday (which may be unlikely) to reassess my...
Read moreThis place is a staple in the community, and I’ll always support it. The younger staff members are consistently friendly, hardworking, and welcoming, they’re the heart of the shop.
That said, my lower rating comes from two persistent concerns: the declining quality of the espresso and one particular barista, Aaron.
Espresso Quality: Lately, the espresso has become noticeably watery and sour, suggesting the beans are no longer being properly dialed in. As a result, the drinks often taste like sweet, diluted milk with little flavor or consistency. While this isn’t a deal-breaker, it’s disappointing given how great the coffee used to be.
Inappropriate Behavior: The more serious issue is with Aaron, whose name was stated aloud during my visit. On one occasion, I overheard him say to a much younger coworker, “I’m going to teach you how to flirt with men.” It was uncomfortable, inappropriate, and highly unprofessional, especially considering he appears to be in his late 30s, while she seemed to be in high school or just out of it. This wasn’t an isolated comment. I've heard him make other inappropriate, sexist, and suggestive remarks, including references to “women of the night” and offhand comments that have no place in a workplace. Frankly, I’m not sure how Jitters still has this individual representing their brand.
I truly want this place to thrive, and I believe the environment can be better for both...

On the busy street that is Conway lies Jitterz Coffee, a coffee shop that exudes a hip, laid-back vibe rather than the traditional warmth and coziness one might expect. With its industrial decor and relaxed atmosphere, it attracts a youthful college-going crowd eager for a caffeine fix.
However, my recent visits to Jitterz Coffee left me with a sense of disappointment, particularly with their iced latte coffees. Anticipating a refreshing and invigorating brew, I was instead met with drinks that fell woefully short of expectations. The coffees had a distinctly burnt flavor, overpowering any potential nuances and leaving a bitter, charred aftertaste that lingered long after each sip. It was as if the essence of what makes coffee delightful had been lost in a heavy-handed roast.
Despite this letdown, it is evident that Jitterz has its merits. Some of the staff are amiable and the ambiance, with its contemporary flair, offers a pleasant space for socializing or working. The menu, though, suggests a range of other beverages and pastries that may yet redeem the establishment.
In fairness, I recognize that every coffee shop has its off days, and perhaps these were isolated incidents of a bad batch of beans. I will give Jitterz another try in the future, hopefully a third visit...
