Karanchos — Restaurant in Texas

The trompo tacos were good. The bistek tacos were flavorless and so was the amburguesas al carbón. The place itself is very relaxing I think that was actually very good except for the flies flying around your food. Reason for one star is that they are not very informative. My wife order 4 bistek tacos for the kids on a Tuesday when they have the five tacos for 5 dollars special. The waitress didn't tell us that it would be cheaper to get 5 instead of 4 and preceeded to place the order. Since we didn't get the 5 tacos then the special doesn't apply and paid close to 7 dlls for the 4 tacos. Also when I paid with a credit card, they charged me more that what it was on my check. They said they charge extra if paying with credit cards but they didn't mention that when I handed my card. There are no signs that say that, they said they have it on the menu all the way at the bottom in very small letters wich honestly I didn't read that far specially in small letters. It was my first time there and I wasn't familiar with the way they do business, and I think they should at least advise the costumers about that. Long story short, if the bank charges them to be able to accept credit cards, then that is a business expense and don't think it should be past along to the costumers. Anyway won't be back there to eat...

A friend and I went to eat saturday first time we've have been there were standing and looking at the menu and the the guy behind the counter eww as extremely rude to us saying if we wanted to eat there we had to sit down or hurry up and order....we both look at each other and like ok well just get it to go since were being rushed....so we proceed to order out food I got two taco just cheese he order two tacos no cheese....we got our order 20 mins later got in my car and his tacos had cheese he is lactose intolerant so he can't have cheese so I took the tacos back and they had to get two other people come and ask how my tacos are supposed it be made so after a waist of hour and a half we got our tacos again....my tacos were cold and his you could see they just removed the cheese off it and he got sick after eating there...wont eat there...

My family and I just left the new Karancho's on 146 in Seabrook. I have heard good things about the place. I have a family of 5 so the "99 cent tacos" sign helped lure me in. We were trying to eat cheap so this appeared to be a good opportunity to do that. Most of us ordered water- mistake #1. They brought out bottled water with no forewarning, costing us 1.50 each. We ordered a selection of the 99 cent tacos- mistake #2. The tacos had VERY LITTLE meat on them. I have nothing against these people, so believe me when I say that the 99 cent tacos were not worth the buck. I ate three of them and went home hungry. Do yourself a favor and spend 10 buck on something else if you go there, because you will either spend 10-12 bucks and be satisfied or spend a few bucks and be disappointed. Don't buy the 99...
