A Culinary Journey at Kottu Korner

During our recent visit to Kottu Korner, we were impressed by a dining experience that artfully blends traditional South Indian cuisine with a modern, family-friendly ambiance. As a reviewer with a background in medicine, where attention to detail and precision are paramount, I found the meticulous preparation and presentation of each dish to be quite commendable.

Traditional Fare with a Contemporary Twist

Upon entering Kottu Korner, the first thing that caught our attention was the authentic setting—complete with banana leaf presentations that evoke a sense of heritage and cultural pride. The atmosphere, warm and inviting, immediately set the stage for what was to be an exceptional meal.

Highlights of the Meal • Dosas: The dosas served were impeccably prepared—crispy on the outside while remaining soft and tender within. Their texture and flavor perfectly complemented the accompanying chutneys, adding layers of subtle spice and freshness to the palate. • Sambar: The sambar was particularly noteworthy. It boasted a complex blend of spices that enhanced its rich, savory flavor, making it an outstanding example of South Indian lentil stew. The depth of flavor was reminiscent of traditional recipes passed down through generations. • Coconut Curry: Equally impressive was the coconut curry. The dish was a harmonious blend of creaminess and aromatic spices, with the natural sweetness of the coconut balancing the heat of the spices. This provided a delightful contrast to the other offerings. They have an unlimited buffet all you can eat dosa on Wednesdays and heavily discounted into Chinese food on Tuesdays and biryani on Thursdays A Family-Friendly Experience

Kottu Korner excels not only in culinary execution but also in creating an environment that caters to all ages. The family-friendly atmosphere encourages communal dining, allowing for shared experiences and conversations around the table. This emphasis on community and tradition adds significant value to the overall dining experience.

Conclusion

In summary, Kottu Korner is a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic taste of South India. The combination of traditional dishes such as dosas, sambar, and coconut curry, all presented in a culturally rich setting, positions this establishment as a standout choice for family dinners . The attention to detail and commitment to authenticity have firmly earned Kottu Korner a place of high regard in the realm of South Indian cuisine.

Halal SriLankan food. My very first time trying this cuisine and I am blown away. So versatile. So yummy. We were sceptic of trying this cuisine but at the end made a great choice. Surely, we will go back again and again. I tried the Lumprice and all the item om the platter was so good. Never tried any of the items. The rice was so different. A must try. Kadahi chicken was full of spice and flavor. Bone-in red chicken was average, more like a home cooked chicken dish. We loved their paratha too. Next time will try the Kottu dish. The staffs were very cordial and humble. They helped us and answered our questions nicely. They said the chef is Sri Lankan and he is Indian. So the menu consist of both the countries. The restaurant is super clean. Love all the decorations and . I also appreciate the different seating arrangements. Great idea. They have one bathroom. So I guess we all have to share it one after another. Please come and taste the...

We had a terrible experience yesterday at this Restaurant. Ordered to go and walked in to the restaurant to pick the food only to our shock they they gave away our order to someone else. Inside the restaurant also there was whole lot of chaos and the management just does not have a clue on how to run this. They said they will make our order again, we had our baby with us post swim class waiting in the car for the order to be made. However instead of making us a priority they made us wait for another 1 hour and 10 min for an order that was supposed to be ready when we reached. Even that was moved because we were truly frustrated with waiting and had to escalate the issue. Just not acceptable and i will not recommend this...

First time visiting this small South Asian (or Indian?) restaurant. The boss was very friendly. I went there during lunch time. Not many people. Great choice if you want a moment of tranquility. However, a fly kept hovering around my table, which really bugged me. The food tasted very good. You can adjust the spiciness. I chose moderate, and it was already a bit hot for me. Sweat kept dropping from my forehead while eating. But this is precisely what I want to experience at a South Asian restaurant. For appetiser I ordered chili shrimp. Interestingly it tasted like Kung Pao Shrimp. I am not saying it’s bad. The shrimp was crispy on the outside and well marinated. Yummy.

Man, I'm so glad this is around the corner from me! The food is so good here, been here twice now.. got two types of dosa and pretty sure we will get on everytime. Got the Gobi Manchurian and loved it, got the navraton korma this time, it was fantastic. Gonna be a regular go to for us. Also, I believe I got lamb (could've been goat? Can't exactly remember now) and that was ridiculous. One of my favorites of that meat I've had. Great job guys! Edit: went back, just ridiculously good. Masala Mysore dosa is a must, their chicken 65 is like the best "chicken nugget" I've ever had. Can't believe I live around the corner from this place lol
