Ok so, the food is good, but the 1 Star is for the service. I usually order the sirloin steak with lobster and a baked potato and I ordered that every time except this time I ordered a hamburger Togo. I asked for a hamburger and added cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Well she said ok and once I got there I checked my order and there was no cheese in my hamburger so then I told the lady that I was missing the cheese on my hamburger. She responded with, “well on the phone you should have asked for a cheese burger, not a burger and add the cheese”. So at this moment I’m like ok, I have been here many times and this is the response I get. I told the lady well that’s kind of rude, how about say sorry mam, I didn’t hear you say that but our cheese burger and regular burger have different prices. So it will be extra, sorry for the miss understanding.
Then she left and went inside to her manager and the manager or owner came out and said you need to look at the menu next time before you order. Then I told her, mam I’m a customer and the way I’m being talked to is not ok, I come here all the time. Then, the manager said well if you come here all the time then you should know how to order. At this point I was done, I had nothing to say to her or the waitress. I was upset and said I’d never go back.
Also, their cheap, I ask for 3 A1 sauces and the manager said she would only give me 2. This is Chinese owned and they can be so...
Read moreI held my opinion till the second time my family visited this place to see if the experience is consistent, as I was in disbelief the first time that this little hole in the wall can be such a top notch restaurant. The ambiance is very understated, non-existent really -- but don't judge that book by its modest cover: you come here for soul food and fantastic service. Everything we tried was cooked to perfection -- no weird flavors, no underseasoned anything, no cheapo ingredients here. Looks, flavors and aromas are most delectable! I appreciate that everything is NOT brown and deep fried like most eateries around, but had a variety and distinctiveness in each dish. My 5 and 3 year olds devoured the bright perfectly steamed broccoli and (a NOT soggy) coleslaw. MIRACLE right there, folks. Shrimp -- bright pink, perfectly charred and not dried out. Hamburger is to die for. Even the banal onion rings are the most fluffy, crispy, airy wonders. Their 'grill' menu is more appropriately should be called 'blackened' method, by the way, but it is not spicy. New Orleans style food --the best I ate in Spring since moving here 4 years ago. Oh, and the service both times was EXEMPLARY. I highly recommend...
Read moreThis is an Awesome spot for Keto! The food is great and well prepared. I have to say, 😫 I miss the two young ladies and the tall gentlemen who use to work there. The girls were extremely friendly and had a welcoming attitude. An attitude that said, " welcome to our kitchen, we're glad you stopped in for a visit". The three of them had such great personalities. My resent visit wasn't as pleasant. The young man seemed bothered by the crowd. He was edgy and very short. He didn't want to take my order togo. He made rethink placing an order. He let me know my wait time was going to be longer than 30min. When I insisted, he told me he was very busy. He stated, there were tables to care for that was already ahead of me 🤔. I basically forced him to take my order. Needless to say... it was not correct upon recipe. This is the first time in five years. This kid needs...
