I just came in for lunch and tried this place and tried the Bo Né and Bahn Mi. The bread is so soft and delicious that I had to write a review about it. The young gentleman who served was ver attentive. Now the food. Ohh my. The Bo Ne was tasty and not tough. It came with a fried egg some grilled onions and a slice of spam. Now I know spam is not known for being particularly tasty, but they'd did something and topped it with a cheese that was damn good. All together, they made a great meal. The Banh mi was on the same soft bread that I've fallen for hard. I hope this community appreciates the care and tender love put into this family run restaurant. I will most definitely be back. I spoke to the owners while I was paying and they just recently bought the restaurant and they put a lot of effort into this place. They changed some recipes and added some items. I highly recommend the Jasmine tea. I'm partial to Jasmine but it was really good. I really hope this place does well. I'm going to invite my coworkers here and I hope that you love it enough to invite your friends and family. It's better than some of the places I've been to off Bellaire in little China and...
Read moreThis was my wife and I first time to eat there. This was on 9/10/2024 at around 5:30pm. Was ,NOT impressed. I ordered the B2 which is the grilled shrimp and grilled pork with rice. My wife ordered the E2 Vermicelli bowl with shrimp. Both orders came out at a reasonable time but both orders had no shrimp and my wifes order had an egg roll on it, it was not supposed to come with one. My wife has food allergies and told the waitress this. The people next to us took our orders from us as these were thier order. Apparently the customer ordered a soup bowl but it had no broth. Again, the waitress brought our order and again,no shrimp and an egg roll in my wifes bowl. So again, our orders were taken back and within a few minutes our orders were brought to us,WITH SHRIMP, all this in the same bowl and same plate. The waitress was really nice about this, just seemed a little bit confused. I believe she was so confused that she brought us a third order of spring rolls. Also, I believe the language barrier was a misunderstanding. I do give a thumbs 👍 to the waitress and the spring rolls but the food seemed to...
Read moreI'll preface this with - I eat a lot of pho. I've been to most of the places here in Houston, and I will typically eat pho a few times a week.
This is probably one of the best, if not the best, places to get pho in Houston that I have found.
The broth is delicious by itself, absolutely no additions required other than a touch of spice to preference. Even then, I find myself not adding it for the sake of keeping the flavor intact.
The noodles are firm and perfectly sized, the meat is absolutely fantastic (especially with a dab of hoisin to dip it in), and everything pairs so well together.
I find myself eating at other pho restaurants and kinda wishing I had gone here instead.
Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but you don't come here to admire the scenery, you come here to get lost in their food, and get lost you absolutely will.
Also try the egg rolls, they are absolutely fantastic and I get them every time I come in.
Fantastic location, highly recommended hole-in-the-wall that...
