ToKu Asian Bistro (新符記） — Restaurant in Richmond

Everything about this place is absolutely incredible! Food was great and service was great. We ordered the caterpillar rolls, truffle rice, peppered beef, buddha delight, black pepper fried fish and 2 chef specials.

The caterpillar rolls were fresh, beautifully presented, and had a great balance of flavor. The truffle rice was fragrant and rich, with the truffle adding a nice depth. The truffle rice was definitely something special highly recommend it. The peppered beef was also great with very tender slices of beef and pepper sauce and seasonings paired very well with eachother.

The Buddha Delight was packed with vegetables and cooked very well. The black pepper fried fish was one of the highlights with a perfect blend of seasonings to pair with it.

Overall, this restaurant is a real hidden gem and more people should know about it. Both the chinese and japanese food are authentic and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend...

These people took over from Orient Cafe, and they are a great addition to the neighborhood. They have some different approaches on some items, but we have really liked everything we have had so far. Service is five star.

I was invited to this restaurant by a friend and I'm glad I decided to join. We were a party of 8 but after taking 2 photos of the dishes, the food caught my attention and I forgot to take photos of the remaining dishes. This place is family owned.

The atmosphere brings out a calm and relaxing feeling because of the color and decor in the dinning area. The dishes were flavorful and tasted amazing, it was a mixture of authentic Chinese, authentic Japanese and fusion dishes. The wonton soup, human fillet, and mono tofu are recommended. The staff were friendly and kind.
