First time here was craving bbq and thought I give it a try. Ordered three meat plate came with two sides and homemade jalapeno cheese bread. Also ordered half pound pork ribs (bit of a carnivore). The aesthetic of the place was nice just like any other bbq place they had covid-19 boundaries in place which was cool. The lady preparing my food kinda quickly threw everything together (I'll give it to her they where closing). The food is mediocre at best not much flavor, ribs were fatty, chicken skin was pale, sausage kinda tough. The green beans where decent and the Texas rice (their take on jambalaya) was bland. No real flavor profile. The bbq sauce I'm assuming homemade was ok and the bread was just bread to me. I spent around 27.00 for just ok. They have pool tables I may consider going back just to play some games and have some drinks spoke to the guy he said they closed at 2 am but they where closing at 9:30pm not sure what that was about but I've had better food at Old Hickory Inn.

No welcome or direction or hello when I walked in. I wanted a sandwich and after I found the counter they silently stared at me while I looked at the menu. He visibly winced at my order. I ordered peach cobbler. You pick your your own from containers you can't see through. When I ordered it the man behind the counter too two containers to the back. I took the one closest to me because my mama taught me that was the polite thing. I got it back to my room and the cobbler had one peach slice in the whole thing. I had a container of breading that didn't even have any sauce on it too make it remotely palatable. It's not Austin or Lockhart but damn! The q was tender and good. Still won't be going back. It was traumatizing.

1st time eating here (take out, quarantine still in place). Not much of a carnivore so I tried the baked potato instead, also a1st. What a pleasant surprise! Expecting a bland, dry unseasoned dish, my mouth was happy to taste chopped spicy jalapeno sausage atop of a well-baked potato that wasn't undercooked nor too mushy. The sausage spice level (chile pepper) was perfect with just a lil kick and not overly salty nor greasy like other BBQ joints. No skimping on the meat either; the perfect balance for those who don't just want a heavy meat dish. Will definitely return for the baked potato experience!

I have been coming here on and off for a while now, its generally a decent spot, but unfortunately I just can't do it anymore, at least NOT the bar when their bartender KENDAL is at the bar. This lady is very unperfesional about her job, and for some unknown reason is holding a grudge, because we were not happy with her so called service. I did notice, and others confirmed, things usually turn bad after she gets full of the same shots she supposed to be serving. Having a bad attitude with the customers, avoiding service, and screaming and yelling profanity at customers, (the same patron who are actually trying to bring business to the establishment, that she alone ran off THREE DIFFERENT TIMES)because they was not happy with a drink is not what you would expect from a bartender. A decent bartender would offer another drink in exchange, add a little more to the original, or at least suggest something different that the customer might like, get that top and add the the businesses clientel. She did everything but any of those. She chose to express her animosity to the entire bar. The worst experience I had there so far. On the upside, the drink prices are not bad, the food is good, and the other bartender Jazmine seems to be ok. All I want to say is don't let KENDAL fool you... she is not friendly under that faux facade.(especially after she has had a few on the job alcoholic shots!) Worst bartender ever! Just...

The food is just okay but we have in past frequented this place because they are conveniently located in a shopping strip that we patron often. On this occasion because I had oral surgery earlier in the day I chose to get a simple baked potatoe with barbecue sauce on the side (and asked specifically for it) I called it in so that I could pick it up quickly inbetween doses of medication. Once I got home the sauce was not in the bag. I called them back to ask that they please prepare some for me to run in and grab. The young woman who answered asked if I had paid for the sauce and if I had my receipt. I told her I didn’t not as I was trying to return quickly to pick up what I had ORIGINALLY ordered! Instead of being customer focused and saying “mamm we are sorry for your inconvenience and certainly we can give you some barbecue sauce” which incidentally cost them less than $.10 at best). That unfortunately is not the response I got. Instead it was not ready when I arrived then they proceeded to charge me $3.10 for sauce. That is the LAST they will see from me. It is my preference to support small mom and pop establishment but I will take corporate and trained over mom & pop poor service any...

Aside from the food being lightly seasoned and mediocre at best, the service was HORRIBLE! We had just left the cemetery from memorializing our mother and came to have dinner together as a family. Upon walking into the almost empty restaurant, the staff quickly looked at us as though it was a problem to have a large group. Nevertheless we organized ourselves by families and ordered our food. After arguing with the staff about an incorrectly made stuffed baked potato we finished ordering and sat to eat. Unfortunately my younger brother had not ordered and I went to the counter only for the manager to blatantly roll his eyes. I told him that at not point did we not pay for our $200+ meal order nor did we get a discount, therefore I was confused as to why he was so upset to clearly exhale and roll his eyes when I came to order. As a well educated citizen that actually contributes to society, me nor my family will be back at this establishment again. When I attempted to ask for his name, the waitress told me she didn't understand enough English to tell me but he was the manager and that there was no one else I...
