DO NOT GO TO AQUA DENTAL. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO. My first experience at aqua dental was great. It wasn’t until I got my wisdom teeth pulled and I have never had a worse experience or ever been scared of a dental office until this day. The worst experience started when they wrote me two prescriptions for the surgery. The first was an antibiotic, I informed them of all medicines I was allergic to and what reactions I had. They prescribed me a pain medicine and an antibiotic that both contained 2 of the medications I listed that I was allergic to. The ONLY reason I found out was because I researched the medication and found out what it contained. If I would have taken either of those there is no telling what reaction I could have had. They were not apologizing about the situation they just informed me to call the oral surgeon and inform him and he would rewrite a prescription. After complaining about the antibiotic I looked into the pain medication. So now I’ve had to go back to aqua dental 3 times to pick up prescription and two of those times there was a mistake on there end. Which they didn’t care about. They day of the surgery was horrible. After not being able to pick up one prescription needed for the surgery the dentist who did my ortho was already frustrated and did not inform me that if I did not take that medicine I would not be asleep. I wasNOT INFORMED of what would happen if I didn’t take it. If I knew that I would have rescheduled. But the ortho doctor did not give me the opportunity. The surgery started and I was completely aware of everything that was going on around me including the pain I get. I cried the whole time of the surgery while the dental hygienist just sat there. I had to ask them 5 different times to use the suction for my spit bc I was choking. The dentist then stopped and asked me “WHAT! What’s wrong? What are you getting yourself worked up” while the whole time I was crying. Not only during the surgery did they tell me while I was incapable of comprehending that one of my tooothes was too close to the nerve to remove. Isn’t that something they see before the surgery while looking at my X-ray? Well I talked to another dentist and he said they are able to tell before the surgery. So the dr. That they hire to do their ortho at aqua dental just blatantly does not care about his clients. Or give them the time of day to review their documents and pictures before performing the surgery. Not only was I choking during the surgery and felt embarrassed to even ask to suction out my spit. He focebly opened my jaw 4 times after I was. Crying complaining about the pain. I now have diagnosed TMJ ISSUES. After the surgery I was in excruciating pain and even when I went back 2 weeks later for a check up my pain did not ease from my jaw. He informed me to place a hot compress and do excercixes. He did not inform me of any excersizes to do. I just dropped it and ignored what he said bc I could tell he did not care and though I was over reacting. Fast forward 2 weeks later when I was supposed to get my braces on. The dr turkdi, sat me down before my appointment and informed me that they believe it is best to remove 2 of my premolars! Why would anyone want to take out good teeth? That was the final straw. I went and got a second opinion and this new dentist is in complete Awh as to how aqua dental treated me. He could not even give me one simple reasoning or idea as to why they would pull any of my teeth if I was trying to clothes the gaps and there was already too much space. I’m an adult and I am now traumatized by going to the dental office and am in pain every day of my life with my jaw. I can’t even chew a sanwhich and all the ortho surgeon had to say was to...
Read moreThe only reason I gave 2 stars is for the fabulous reception and hygienist team. The lack of the other 3 stars is for these horrible dentists. Each time I had the best and kindest interactions with the reception staff and dental hygienists. That’s why I gave this review 2 stars just for these lovely people.
I know places get busy and people run behind. I’m a registered nurse and understand some patients take longer than others. So, one dentist offered to help another dentist, and she injected my numbing medication. When my dentist came in to do the fillings, he said that he was now going to numb me. Before he did the injection, I HAD TO STOP HIM AND TELL HIM IT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. If I hadn’t said anything, I would’ve been given a double dose of the numbing medication.
I’ve known I’ve had pretty bad hereditary gum recession, but I never experienced any pain, just sensitivities during dental cleanings. I received a cleaning on 10/18/2023, and the dentist recommended I receive fillings for my gum recession. I’ve never had a dentist recommend this procedure before but was encouraged to get it done as soon as possible to avoid further recession.
On 11/21/2023, Dr. Chidi did the gum recessions for one side of my mouth. When I went back on 12/04/2023, I let her know I’d been experiencing severe pain and sensitivity on one tooth she’d done previously, so she checked and said one of the fillings had indeed chipped. So they had to redo it. It fixed the pain for 1-2 weeks and then the pain returned. I’d never experienced tooth pain like this before.
I made a reevaluation appointment on 12/19/2023. Dr. Chidi reexamined the tooth, blew air on it, poked it, and I reiterated how PAINFUL it had been. I was told to rub Sensodyne toothpaste on it and return in a couple weeks. I asked for them to fix it, and I would not be paying for it since this would be the 3rd time it would need to be fixed. When I tried to make a follow-up appointment for a re-re-evaluation, I was retold I needed to keep applying the Sensodyne toothpaste.
As of now, several months have passed, and I have multiple teeth that got fillings done that are now in so much pain. I can’t drink cold liquids, and I had no problem with this before that procedure. I had a consultation with another dentist office in Pearland and was told the dentist at Aqua Dental did a botch job and my fillings are in need of a lot of polishing because of how sandpaper rough they left them. I was also told I shouldn’t have even been encouraged to get the fillings done because I...
Read moreOn Tuesday December 5th, 2023 Misbah Tukdi contacted me and stated that he was one of the owners of the Aqua Dental Pearland location and was calling me to see why I felt that I deserved a discount. I told him that I was already told that I would receive a $500 discount from my first dental procedure by the manager LA due to me having to wait 8 months to get the permanent bridge delivered. Misbah Tudki begins to tell me that they’re a small business and not Amazon or any other big corporation, and tells me multiple times that LA would never say that. Then he proceeds to tell me that I shouldn’t need a discount because it was a courtesy for them to send my permanent bridge to the lab to get the right color that best matched my teeth color and I should’ve been charged for that. Misbah Tudki also told me that I should’ve been charged for every time that I had an appointment to do a fitting and shade check. Then Misbah tells me that I have a balance due of over $400, but I’ve paid for both procedures in full. Before ending the call, Misbah stated that “No other dentist would let you speak to the damn owner!” Then offered me a discount for $150-$200. I declined and told him that I would have to think about it because I was already told I would receive a $500 discount.
On Wednesday December 6th,2023 I went to the Aqua Dental Pearland location to speak with the manager LA. As LA leads me to the office, a tall man walks behind me and shuts the door. I asked was he the owner and he stated that he was one of them. When I asked him his name he said “Misbah”. LA asked me what needed and I told him that I wanted all of my paperwork and consent forms. He begin to print them. I then asked LA “ Once my first permanent was delivered , didn’t I ask you about the discount, and didn’t you say that it would be about $500 and you were waiting for the consent?” LA said “YES” I then said well he(Misbah Tukdi) said you couldn’t have said that. LA responded with “Yes I did say that”. I then told LA that Misbah told me that it was a courtesy to send my permanent to the lab for the color check. Misbah then say “I didn’t say that” I said “yes you did” he then gets upset and says “we’re not going to go back and forth”. I told him “we don’t have to”. He then told LA to call the police. LA looks shocked and confused on why. Misbah walks around LA to grab the phone to call 911. He then tells them that he told me to leave and that I didn’t want to leave. I have video proof that he never told...
