I placed an order through doordash for several plates from taco ole Mission on Conway. I wasn’t aware it would be from taco ole in Sharyland. However, doordash cancelled the order after it was paid, for what ever reason. I received a notice that I would get a full refund. I then called to taco ole in mission on Conway to ask for details since I didn’t understand why it was cancelled. I simply asked the lady “Carolina” about the order. I just wanted to replace the order. Door dash was giving me a refund in 5 days which was fine with me. Carolina was disrespectful and would not let me speak. She said they had different owners and I needed to call the restaurant in Sharyland. Wouldn’t shut up long enough to hear me say I wanted to place the order again. I called back after she rudely gave me the phone number for the Sharyland restaurant right before hanging up on me. I called back to ask for her name. She gave me Caro...she said it was short for Carolina and rudely asked why I needed her name. I told her she had been rude and disrespected when asked about the door dash order. She went off about not dealing with doordash. Again, wouldn’t shut up. It didn’t matter what the situation was, I was simply explaining what happened and wanted to replace the order. Doordash was giving me a full refund anyway. I asked to speak to the manager, But she said there was no manager at night or during the day. She said they are working individuals without any manager. I told her I needed to speak with whomever was in charge. She then passed the phone to someone who said her name was “Diana”. She claimed there was no manager and that she also just helps to run the restaurant. After I calmly explained what had happened she said “will you just get to the bottom of it because I don’t know nothing about doordash “. In those words. I explained it didn’t matter what the situation was with doordash....my problem was their customer service. She didn’t care to hear it. I can say after both were so rude and disrespectful, I will NEVER be returning to that restaurant. My family ordered from that location at least 2-3 times weekly. $50-$70 every time. I called the Sharyland location and spoke to Toni. She was nice, understanding and showed great customer service. Took care of the situation right away. PLEASE, if you want great food with the best customer service...go to Taco Ole in Sharyland....bus. 83. NOT Taco...
Read moreTaco Olé has been a family favorite for more than 11 years because of their great food and service. With that stated; I am surprised, disgusted, appalled and LITERALLY 🤢 sick at what I experienced this last time I ordered take out. Two days ago I ordered 2 chicken botanas to go, not 1 but 2. They said they'd be ready in 30 minutes. I picked them up curbside on time and immediately went home to eat with my family. We were shocked at what we got: the beans smelled rotten, the salsa was definitely rotten, and I ordered the vegetables aside - which were ALSO rotten. Needless to say, I called them back within 15 minutes wanting to speak with a manager (the woman that answered the phone said they DON'T have a manager- how that's possible, I don't know!) and was put on hold... Maybe it is true they don't have someone in charge because they don't care about their customers anymore. The only "good" foods were the canned jalapeños, chicken, cheese and rice. Which we couldn't eat because it was all mixed in with the rest of the rotten food. The plates which had the rice and beans together even looked like it'd been shaken and tossed around. I couldn't drive back to throw this food, that I PAID FOR, at them to show them what they gave me because I'm disabled and my ride had left. (I know, I'm exaggerating, but I was just so mad!) I think I'm not the only one to experience this because the restaurant used to be FULL to capacity, before COVID-19, and you had to wait for a while in the long drive thru line for your take out. Now there is no line, it's deserted, it slowly dwindled down. No one wants to PAY for rotten food, and no customer deserves rotten food. That is every restaurant's...
Read moreHave to say the wait service was excellent; however, the owner was very rude. It’s not the first time this happens either. We as lifelong customers value the traditional food and atmosphere of Taco Ole. But that does not give the owner the right to ridicule, laugh, or belittle the way we ask for our food.
Just a short backstory, our food (breakfast) was prepared incorrectly, again, so we sent it back. The owner comes to our table to ask what was wrong and I explained everything: eggs were undercooked, bacon was undercooked, and the beans were on the same plate when we had asked for them to be “on a side plate”.
We know that they are going through many changes at this time and as customers we completely understand. Please keep in mind we were never rude nor did we refuse to pay.
The owner then laughed, literally laughed out loud, and said, “ok well you’re asking for too many things” and he walked away and never bothered to apologize nor come back to speak to us.
So, the food was brought to us again, cooked perfectly, just as we had asked the first time. However, by this time, we are in awe and a little disgusted with the owners reaction that we could not enjoy our food at this point. So, we paid and left.
Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant and I wish this never happens to any other paying...
