I've been here a few times and by far today's visit improved my previous opinion thanks to one person: Steven. I have a severe tomatoe allergy along with a host of other allergens (peas, foil, all heavy metals). My food was priced $10.00above the menu price which was not posted. I ordered a large red-snapper they said it wasn't available. Then proceeded to say i could get the xl for $35.00. Then they told me I could get the small (which I did not want) or the fillet (again, I did not want). So I paid this insane fee, which was not posted and by law they cannot charge bc it was not posted. I waited one hour for my food. After waiting for my food (again it took an hour). I was told they only made two chicken patties. Between my roomie and I we ordered five. My roomies food came out not problem. Then it came to my order and we had to wait another 20 minutes for my chicken patties which the counter people failed to tell the kitchen. I was charged for the patties but somehow my order was misheard in the two feet of space between the counter and the kitchen?! The counter people are nice just not great at taking orders in detail. I know this for fact as I've been here multiple times and each time the counter people misconstrue some portion of my order. As I stated in the beginning Steven was a saving grace! He came out graciously to let me know he was on top of my order with my allergy. Steven then followed up again by coming to the table and letting me know my chicken patties would be another 20minutes. He bought my bestie and I fresh pressed juice to compensate for waiting so long. (The juice was a challenge for me bc I'm allergic to pineapples and milk but Steven made it work and got me fresh pressed carrots juice (no milk). Steven apologized for the mistakes and had no hesitation in correcting the issue. Steven provided excellent service! THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! I'm only giving four stars because of the unannounced upcharge. THANKS STEVEN FOR IMPROVING UPON MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES! I definitely suggest this restaurant just make sure you take your wallet...
Read moreWe have been eating at Tony's a long time before there was a Pflugerville location. My son practically lived off of Tony's cooking via his food truck in Austin while he was in college at Huston Tillotson University. Past few times we have been to Pflugerville location its been hit or miss. Today's service, and food is confirmation that we will NOT be back. I sent my hubby to pick up a few menu items namely a chicken pattie with coco bread cause truthfully thats just one of my weaknesses. I had my mouth all watered for a fresh chicken pattie I take it out the bag to find what you see in the photo. At this point my husband is willing to drive back to the establishment. Truthfully we don't live close, and I was so disgusted I didn't even want to eat anything else we purchased. I guess at this point my thought process is everytime we eat here we easily drop close to $50.00 or more on our order. This should NEVER be a conversation or issue my food should reflect the money I spend. My husband knew I wasn't pleased and I started looking over our order in a whole all he kept saying was the young man at the register don't listen. Ordered a side of stew chicken with no gravy extra carrots. Got exactly the opposite plenty of gravy 2 carrots, and maybe 3 small pieces of chicken. I mean potentially could chalk it up just being an off day due to holiday and establishment being busy. Just can't bring myself to say this is acceptable!! As stated we...
Read moreI drove all the way from Houston to come try the food upon entering the building everything looks clean well set but I notice at the cashier station it says check your food before leaving big red flog. I order the large oxtails $21 and a Tropical rhythm I believe that was $3 some how my total came out to be $27 I said nothing money is no issue. Now as I was waiting I noticed the employees in the kitchen was more interested in been on they phone and joking I said nothing. I got my food went to my car open the box my oxtails have no gravy the meat taste like it was cook In the last 24 hours and sat over a steam pan to keep warm my rice also except they put butter with it to make it look and taste fresh. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and I know good food when I see good food and I know Lazy cook when I see them this is a nice location nice restaurant but the cooking needs to be revamped. Also the lady who works at the front I understand youâre from back home well when you speak to customers sounds like youâre frustrated and youâre struggling and you donât want to be there and speaking in native language as if youâre dragging out your words is not a good representation of a business Iâm not being picky Iâm just being truthful so all of this is the reason why Iâm given a one star Hopefully next time I visit things will be better so I can...
