Years ago, the Sonic Drive-In used to be a great place to go. Nowadays, even at their busiest, they do not seem to have themselves organized enough to take all the people's orders. Sonic in my town has been here for years. In the past, I have never experienced such neglect! So I decide one day to go there after these many years, to get myself a root beer float and some drinks for my kids. It wasn't even a holiday, nor was it even a Friday! I stood there for 30 minutes assuming they were still making my order. And the people next to me received theirs, and when people that came after me got their orders, I pushed the button again to discover they never took down my order! Now how is that when they're able to give you a charge of $13 and something cents if they did not somehow take your order?! I was not going to wait there again just to get my order. Today (11/22/2020) I went to get drinks in the drive thru. Apperently, you'll have to request more ice cream with your blended root beer float. I received mine and it was a root beer with fizz! I use to get them as if they were a milkshake. But this looked like they let the ice cream melt before giving me a regular root beer float. But even when I get a root beer float, I can blend it and it becomes thick. Do I have to blend it myself now? This place is getting worse, in...
Read moreIf you choose to eat here, check your food before leaving. They frequently mess up orders. Last night we ordered two grilled cheese burgers, one with no onion and pickles added, the other with lots of additions. We took the food home and found both were made the standard menu way, despite our paying for pickles, jalapeños, and tomatoes. We also had none of the condiments we added to the order, and our fries were too salty to eat much of. I called the 1-866 number on my receipt and was apologized to and given coupons in my account for new burgers to use in the next 30 days. That still left me making dinner after all for myself as I couldn't eat the burger that had onions on it (after they had been on my burger for 20+ minutes, simply removing them wasn't likely to be enough to accommodate my raw onion intolerance). Previous visits have included slushies with no flavor added (was literally just given the sweet slush base), or made without requested add-ins(that were paid for), and missing condiments. We've caught drink mishaps right away every time and had them fixed. But last night...
Read moreDrive thru service, they just weren't listening. Ordered the number 7 plus onions and mustard, tater tots, and a medium cherry limeade. They didn't read my order back to me, so after 3 minutes and no response, I moved forward. Got to the window, they had the cherry limeade but no footlong nor tater tots. Got those added to the order, got my change counted back to me correctly and received my order. Drove away only to find out that there were no onions or mustard. Not a huge deal, these are kids learning the importance of attention to detail, especially with today's prices. Went back to the restaurant walked in and had a smug blue haired girl rudely roll her eyes when I told her what the problem was. She handed my coney to a young man who then stuck his ungloved hand into the onions and sprinkled them on. An ungloved hand wouldn't have been so bad and I might have actually eaten this coney if I hadn't watched him rub his nose with his hand before he did it. I walked out and threw it away. Graham county health department needs to go visit this...
