Denny's — Restaurant in The Villages

Passed by this Denny's and saw the neon open sign... thought I could use an omelette and some hash browns and pancakes... walked in...sign said " please wait to be seated"...so I waited by the sign at the "hostess stand...I saw 2 employees on their phones, and 10 minutes later when a "regular" customer walked in (drove a black jeep)...he said to me, "you've got to seat yourself, otherwise your going to be standing here forever"... He walked into the restaurant, was greeted by an older skinny female employee that was seemingly happy to see him. At 1:30am I would have expected the servers wanted to make tips ..I guess not at this location... I'm ashamed this restaurant is so close to the villages....disgusts me. I would never attempt this place if I were you... Waffle House is right down the street with comparable food and prices...It doesn't take a rocket scientist to fry a freaking 🥚... 🥓... sausage... Waffle House will serve you immediately...they announce your arrival and greet you immediately. Thanks Waffle House for making me see the error of my ways in going to Denny's. Moons over my hammy used to be a favorite when I first started going to Denny's (30 years ago)...now they are "MOONS" away from serving "HAMMY" to anyone they don't see as a regular. So tonight me and my husband ate at this location the waitress Tammy anderson was so sweet showed excellent customer service I myself ordered the bourbon hamburger my husband ordered the steak when our meals arrived and I took my first bite of my hamburger I was wowed everything was perfect the flavor the texture everything was just sauteed perfectly the flavor was impeccable my husband said he had never had more of a perfect steak everything was cooked to perfection is very hard nowadays to find a cook that takes pride in what they do let alone prepares a meal that is phenomenal I asked the waitress what was the man's name that Cooked our meal she responded his name is Julian I told her to tell him everything was excellent made to perfection this is the type of cook that I hope you value he is a true asset to this company because how that food is prepared determines whether a person will come back or not but we will come back 100% next time we come we're going to call ahead and see if Tammy A is waitressing and Julian is cooking please do something good for Julian give him a raise he deserves it and his excellence in cooking will only keep your customer steady coming back we are so very pleased with our meal tonight thank you once again sincerely Melanie Russell and please make sure you do something for Tammy anderson...

I’ve been going to this particular Denny’s for about a year, almost every morning for Breakfast. I’ve always gotten the same thing, every time. I know it’s weird, but it’s just my breakfast routine. I’ve always substituted hash browns for the fruit bowl because I’m type 2 diabetic. The fruit bowl used to be Strawberries, Bananas, Grapes and Apples. I started noticing about a month or two ago that there were no longer Strawberries in the bowl. As I don’t eat apples, the Strawberries were missed. Funny thing was, some mornings different waitresses would give me strawberries and some wouldn’t. Whenever I asked, it seemed it was always a different excuse, from we’re out to now we are not allowed to put them in, fruit bowl doesn’t come with Strawberries. Oddly enough they had Strawberries for pancakes! Sadly, this location has lost a REGULAR customer. If a customer requests a few Strawberries, why not give them to the customer? I’m confident they won’t Bankrupt the Chain. I think it boils down to Laziness, most mornings the overnight staff is constantly complaining that other staff doesn’t do anything, the Manager may want to inform the staff that’s it good policy to NOT COMPLAIN in earshot...
