China Bridge — Restaurant in The Woodlands

Have been regularly ordering (home delivery) from their Traditional menu - always a standard 3 dishes from their traditional menu - over last 2 years and despite their recent dip in quality, continued to be their patron. About a week ago, went to pick up my regular order and looking at the bill realized they charged me extra for replacing Beef with Chicken in a dish, which was never done before. On my query the young man told me that the rates are set by the management. I told him I had no issues with the rates or the cost but the principal that if you were going to charge me additional cost, you should tell me upfront and not just charge my credit card without my knowledge especially since it had never been done before. He was pretty rude and didn't seem to agree with me. I asked him if I could speak to the Manger/Owners. He refused and told me that I could f..off (his exact words) from the restaurant. To avoid an ugly situation and getting to a zero sum game, I left quietly. I know that restaurants are hard pressed to find help now a days, but never knew it has become so bad. I ordered shrimp fried rice. The most basic thing to get and orange chicken. Chicken was excellent and the order was through door dash. The shrimp fried rice and soo much egg shells left in it. It got to the point of not even being to be able to eat it. Called the restaurant and informed the the person that answers the phone. Was told that he would inform the chef and was sorry that happened. I worked here and there in the food industry and thought something simple like shrimp fried rice could be easily replaced. Obviously this place does not take pride in there food or resolving the mistakes they made. I recommend chef chans restaurant for now on. They are a little pricey but never made a mistake and I know for sure they will correct any issues with the order. Such a waste of money and a huge disappointment on how they handle there issues. People now and days want what the pay for. For 40 some odd dollars that I wasted on the food from this place. I might as well had my kids have a crack at trying to make some shrimp fried rice. Never had a professional "chef" just leave so many egg shells in food. Must of been drunk cooking the food or something. Makes me wonder how else they handle the...

I ordered 4 entrees using DoorDash. The order arrived within 40 minutes, in a bag that was stapled shut with the receipt. When I opened the bag, it contained 2 entrees that ordered, was missing 1 entree and had something I didn’t order. I called and was told that the driver must have done something to the order because the person I spoke with remembered packing my order (hard to believe). I was told they would call me back after they spoke to the driver, but that didn’t happen. I called back after 20 minutes and was told again that they packed it right. Like honestly, how would the driver have been able to switch entrees so I received the wrong one? So frustrating. After several minutes I was refunded the cost of the missing entrees with credit on DoorDash (not a real refund). No offer to deliver the food and make things right. I highly recommend (1) not using doordash, and (2) checking your order immediately because China Bridge couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction or correcting their mistakes.
