Crust Pizza Co. - Alden Bridge — Restaurant in The Woodlands

The chaos behind the counter negatively affected our evening significantly. Saturday evening. Mostly take out business this evening. My order placed over internet (because no phone answer) was extremely simple (3 of the simplest items to order: small cheese pizza, kids spaghetti meat sauce, caesar salad) with a scheduled arrival time 35minutes after order. One item was “misplaced.” Had to wait for it to be remade. Arrived early in case ready early, but had no issues waiting until scheduled time. So I waited. But I paid attention starting at that time (had they not noticed I was paying attention, I’m convinced I could have sat there over an hour). Then watched chaos ensue... saw the small cheese pizza sit on some boxes not warming for quite some time not packaged up until they frantically tried to look for my order (again) and put it together. Watched them fumble another person’s take out order. Took them awhile to figure out that the spaghetti was missing. Then waited to make it. So how did this mess with our evening? The rest of our family dinner from another establishment got cold and soggy in the car waiting on this chaos I encountered. There’s a line from a movie about NASCAR racing starring Tom Cruise, Randy Quaid, Nicole Kidman, and Robert Duvall in 1990. Randy Quaid’s character gets mad about some tomfoolery exhibited by his team and expresses this very colorful expression about monkeys and footballs. That applies here. Yes, I’m upset. ORDER DIRECT! DO NOT EVER DECIDE TO ORDER THRU DOOR DASH. We moved here less than a few years ago and had our first Crust pizza experience. The pizza and salads are amazing. Light weight but flavorful. We eventually ventured out in the menu. Pasta dishes rich and so flavorful! Tonight was my 6 yo birthday. We decided to go through door dash. NEVER AGAIN! After order delivered it was a small bag and box. I looked into bag and went back to retrieve driver as he was driving big off. I text him (and it went thru) asking him to check his car. Nothing. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Rod to let him know we only received our app and salads. I thought maybe it was still at restaurant and the driver had picked it up. Speaking with Rod, rather than him pointing blame, he said, “the driver had picked up a few orders and may have gotten confused. “ He said, he immediately got on the phone with door dash and requested a dispatch of another order. Door dash sent me a message I needed to replace the order. I called Rod and he said, “if you don’t mind picking up I will make it right.” He 100% absolutely did. I showed up and everyone was so polite and amazing. Rod came to personally apologize and handed me my order.” With running a tight schedule with work and a birthday what started as an unfortunate event made my night!!! Food as always phenomenal!! I will always order direct and let them dispatch it out rather than going through a third party.

This location is the one that my family and I go to anytime we want Crust Pizza. Despite having one that's closer to our house, we've always driven a little further just to come to this location. We've never had an issue until recently. We came to dine in at 8:00 P.M. Placed our order and sat down. Received our order in a timely manner and proceeded to eat our dinner. At 8:45, a young gentleman came and asked us if we're going to be done soon and that he needed to take our Parmesan cheese shaker. We were obviously still eating and told him that we're not done. Not even 5 minutes later, he comes back and asks if he can take our Parmesan cheese shaker. We told him "no", as we're still eating. 8:55 P.M. and he comes back to ask us again for the shaker and says, "can I take the Parmesan cheese? We're closing soon and I need to clean up." Excuse me, but your store closes at 9:00. Your persistence to take a bottle of Parmesan cheese that we were using and push us out the door cost you a tip and our business.

We go out to Crust Pizza once a week, and we definitely will NOT be going back to this location. There are plenty of other Crust Pizzas around that doesn't rush their customers out the door when the restaurant wasn't even closed yet. I sincerely hope that management trains their employees proper customer...
