My sister and I dined with our 4 kids this afternoon and were met with the most rude service I have encountered in awhile.
I have been to this location frequently and I don’t know if there is new ownership or management, but it went downhill fast.
Between our two orders, we had SIX pizzas. When the pizzas were brought to the table I asked if we could have some ranch dressing. They brought two ranches and I enquired if we could get 2 more as there were 6 of us and 6 pizzas. I was told that per the owner, only 1 free ranch per order and if I wanted one per pizza I should’ve ordered each pizza separately. I asked how much extra ranch was and he said 50 cents. He told me I would need to go back in to the line (which obviously at lunch time is quite long), to order my additional ranch. When my sister went in to ask about this ranch debacle, she was told “you know, we don’t even HAVE to give you ANY ranch.” To which she asked to speak to the manager. Turns out, this was the general manager (Baldemar Benitez) who thought he should talk to customers this way! And all over 50 cents of ranch dressing. Well, Baldemar handed her his card with what he stated was the owners phone number and email address (even though the email address is his name?) and told her she could call. She called, the number was not in service. She went back in to ask if there was a different number as this one is not in service. He said “yes it is. It would ring right here if you called it.” (So he gave her the number to the pizza place we were at?) anyway she called about to show him and it did not work again. And he said “oh. Well. It should work. Guess something is wrong.”
Obviously, this was not about the ranch dressing after about the first minute of this conversation. But I could not believe the attitude and how we were treated by the general manager of the restaurant… over a simple request of ranch for the SIX pizzas we ordered.
Long story short, if you want to come here and you like ranch dressing, make all your orders separate. Or you will be spoken to rudely. Or just don’t come here at all because I’m fairly confident all the other pizza places in the woodlands would be happy to give you a ranch dressing for your pizza in exchange for...
Read moreThe young guy on the phone was great in helping and understanding. I made the mistake of ordering at the wrong location. When I arrived at the location I assumed I called they didn't have my pizza ready. After some confusion the guy at the front realized I called the wrong location. I called back and the order was canceled, no problem.
Now this is where I give the manager at the woodlands research forest location a solid 1 star review
After seeing the confusion, knowing the issue. I asked him directly if they could throw a pizza together for me so I could hurriedly be on my way. He didn't even look at me and said it would be 30 minutes. I laughed thinking he was joking and I said ok how long, to his response 30 minutes. So I explained that he just saw the confusion of what happen and over heard me being in a rush to get to a new location moving office furniture.
The manager without consideration, walked away from the front like I wasnt even worth his time, mind you I'm in basketball shorts and a t-shirt so I can only assume he judeged me on my appearance. Now I get I made the mistake of calling the wrong location, but I also know that a pizza takes 30 seconds to throw together for a pepperoni.
So after ordering pickup from this woodlands location (off research) every Friday with family and friends we will be going to this new location by the new sears shopping center.
The new sum lost may only be 3-400$ a month in lost revenue for them, no big deal. But I will never forget how unimportant I felt as a person in a dilemma at...
Read moreWe had a great experience at Crust Pizza Co. A few of the things that made it great.
Great Lunch Special - If you come Monday-Friday from 11AM-3PM, you can get a delicious 8" (3) topping pizza and a side salad or chips for $7.99. This is a great deal, and the next time I am in the area for work, I will definitely be taking one to go.
Kid Friendly - On the outside of the restaurant near the patio area there is a play area for children. There are tables with misting fans near by so you can relax, eat, and let the kids play at a safe distance. Only thing I could suggest that could make it better is a more kid friendly music playlist be playing in the restraunt.
Good Food - Good pizza is hit or miss with there being so many options to choose out there. Crust Pizza is like it sounds. The crust is superb, and is a must attribute for any pizza to have to be a great pizza. They use fresh ingredients and a tasty sauce and cheese to make the pizza a perfect combination.
Cool Cups - We got a couple to-go cups with lids for our children. We ended up taking them home to use in the future. They are made from a very durable material that holds up in the wash. Also the cups have a very cool design. You will see what I mean when you go there.
There are plenty of other things that made this a delightful experience and we will definitely be back.
Thanks Crust Pizza...
