I came thru drive thru and was already waiting like 6 mins since the drive thru had a pot of cars. I ordered a fish sandwich combo and was provided an old fish sandwich which had a terrible smell. They gave me mash potatoes instead of red beans and rice . This was my 1st time at this location and being it was The Woodlands, Tx location, I expected food quality to be on point. I have to always make sure I check my food no matter where I am before leaving the restaurant. Omg, I bit into it and immediately was disappointed. I went inside and informed staff that there was no way my sandwich was fresh. One of the employees began to insinuate that it was somewhat fresh. He said there was someone who came thru not to long ago with a large order per fish sandwich, so they dropped extra. Well, my sandwich was old and the smell clearly was indicating something wrong. It took of course about 7 mins to cook a fresh sandwich, but when I got it, my taste buds were already thrown off and I was already grossed out. Now the red beans and rice are always delicious. I only could eat a few bites of the fresh fish but I couldn't stop thinking about the first fish I received. I will not be returning to this location no time soon. People are paying their money and one should always receive quality food. I drove at least 20 mins to this Popeyes even though one is located near Cypress Station area. I expected better quality but I feel the person who prepared the order or whoever cooked it, should have been thrown that sandwich out. We ordered food for our family — including their Ghost Pepper Wings — and requested it freshly made. We were told it would be. What we received was a revolting mess.
The food smelled off immediately. Once we got home and opened the box, it became worse. The chicken was leaking brown fluid and had a slimy, jelly-like substance inside. It was cold, rubbery, and clearly old. This wasn’t just low quality — it was unsafe.
Shortly after eating, multiple family members experienced severe stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. We were up all night. It’s beyond disgusting that food this mishandled is being served to the public.
The restaurant itself? Filthy. Freezing cold air blasting, smoke in the air, a foul greasy odor sticking to our clothes — and what looked like a broken ventilation system. It felt neglected, unsanitary, and completely unfit to be serving food.
We called to report what happened. We were promised a call back from a district manager. It never came. No apology. No concern. Just silence.
This is not a fast food complaint — this is a public health risk. If anyone from corporate or the health department reads this: please investigate. Until then, I strongly urge everyone to avoid this location. We trusted them with our food, and it made us sick.

Got to window at 255 and THEY STILL HAD NOT EVEN STARTED the order. The man told me to pull up front and park. When I questioned why my order wasn't ready he got an attitude and told me they only had 3 people up front so go park. I said just give me a refund, this is ridiculous. He came back and said the manager said I can't get a refund because I ordered on the app so I had to call and request refund. So I asked for the home office phone number. Would not give it, said the manager said to Google it. So I asked for managers name. Tried not to tell me that either. So I said I will just come inside for my order, if I park you'll probably still forget to make my order. So I go in and he says manager said she will call and request refund for you. I said unless refund is cash right now, just make my order. I've already waited almost an hour by this point. So manager comes out, with an attitude and asks me what the problem is. Well, I ordered almost an hour ago and still no food, and drive through guy got attitude. So she says Well, we are short handed. So I said I instead of attitude, maybe just apologize that ya'll obviously forgot to make my order and I probably would have waited patiently, as I understand stuff happens, but it needs to be handled accordingly.
