Recently moved to Thomasville from a bigger city, we’ve been struggling to find any Asian restaurants that were as good as we had back home but I’m happy to say Lucky Chen’s will be our new go to. Went about an hour before closing and all of the food was fresh and delicious. I’m really impressed!
I see a lot of the negative reviews on here seem to take issue with the young man running the counter. He served me when I went and he was extremely professional and polite.
I also see that someone here claimed to have filed a report against this business for a child labor violation. I would encourage anyone who takes issue with him helping out at the restaurant to read the Exemptions to the FLSA article on the Department of Labors website. It clearly states that “Minors under age 16 working in a business solely owned or operated by their parents or by persons standing in place of their parents, can work any time of day and for any number of hours.” and I imagine that is exactly the situation at this business.

Read moreI agree with some of the other posts in that the quality of the food is not very good. You can travel (depending on where you're coming from) another 15 - 20 minutes and eat at P.F. Chang's (I know, they do not deliver) and pay $10-15 more and get a much better meal. Or if you want to stay local to Thomasville go to Jade Dragon (I don't think they deliver either), but it's reasonably priced and I've never had a bad meal there.
The rice was fine, sauces fine, but the orange chicken was terrible. The center was dry and rubbery and was either old or over cooked, I'm thinking the former. The egg roll was okay but was only warm in the middle while the outside was well over cooked. Maybe it was because it was Sunday night but hopefully the day of week does not affect the quality of the food.
The pork fried dumplings were pretty good (4/5 stars), maybe dishes that do not have the breaded...
Read moreThe food was ok. However, the customer service was sub-basement! The young guy giving us out food didn't speak when we came in. He threw the receipt down that I needed to sign and didn't say thank you when we paid. Man please, we are spending our money at your establishment, even if you only work there, what a TERRIBLE display of customer service! My advice, avoid this place! No one wants to come spend their money in a place where the workers don't show appreciation for consumers! Hence, further solidified why I HATE eating out! Even when I try to give places a chance, they don't cease to make my position true! Eat at home...you won't get the negative attitudes from people who either hate their job or hate seeing you in their business!! Either way, your meal will be better than...
