I really WISH these people would LISTEN 🎧 when ordering… Even went inside so they could not blame the mistake / misunderstanding on traffic and not hearing.. And because last time I was there I was stuck in traffic line FOREVER!!!!!! Ugh - ORDERED - TRAY #1 (it says a Jr tray) Hot Dog 🌭 Tray - with Mustard, Ketchup, Chili and Slaw… Bacon ranch wrap and Corn Dog & Drink - Sweet Tea… Employee: That’s is $12.90…. ME: “EXCUSE ME?? What in the world? For a $5.99 Tray it’s over $12?? “
Employee: “You didn’t say you wanted the regular cookout tray (has only 1 hotdog) and so it’s 2 hotdogs for $6.99 plus $0.65 for Chili & $0.50 for Slaw TIMES 2 because there are 2 hotdogs in this tray.. plus an extra bacon / ranch wrap is another $2. So it’s $6.99 to $2.30 (chili and slaw) and $2 for the wrap… ME: You charge $1.15 extra for that and it’s not even a teaspoon amount on these hotdogs?? OH MY WORD!!!!!!! Employee: Mustard, Ketchup, Mayo - Onions and PICKLES OR RELISH ARE FREE CONDIMENTS.. all other things cost.
2nd - Additional Order - Grilled Chicken (PLEASE Soft cooked.. Not pressed or hard) Mayo, lettuce and tomato… Opened sandwich - chicken was burnt - No Mayo, lettuce OR tomato.. 2 bacon / ranch wraps… they put 2 CHICKEN WRAPS in tray… I informed employee - this is incorrect… She returned with what I thought was another GRILLED chicken breast SANDWICH- nope. It was literally a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato… then a pack of mayo- says to me HERE… manager said give this to you and you can make it yourself…. SHOCKING TO SAY THE LEAST…. Fantastic customer service...
Read moreThis evening, we ordered the Cookout Style Cheeseburger platter with onion rings as one side and chicken nuggets for the other side. When we received this "platter" it had a whopping total of four medium-small onion rings. I politely asked our drive-thru server if we could have more as this looked very meager. She nodded her head in agreement and, with a smile, said she would tell the young lady in charge. The young lady in charge advised us the policy at Cookout is "4 onion rings per serving." I politely asked for more as this wasn't even enough for a kid's meal. She said she'd gladly ring up another order for me. I stated, as kindly as possible, "No, I mean for what has already been paid as I've never seen such a meagar portion here before." A moment passed, and she came back with a smile and a container of more onion rings. She said "bye-bye" as I said Thank you and she closed the window.
We got home to find the second picture 3 & 3/4 onion rings. Please see 3rd and 4th pictures with salad fork for reference for comparison.
I have always been a fan of Cookout. Their food is always tasty, and I find it sad to have to write a negative review. Hopefully, either this is a misunderstanding of the policy for the young lady in charge OR maybe we will have to get our...
Read moreCook out restaurant is a restaurant that begins with cook and ends with out. This establishment provides cheap, delicious food at little cost to the consumer. I have been to cook out many many times and I am only sometimes disappointed, but after looking at how much you paid for it you cant help but understand that a place that is doing it that cheap is not going to get it right all the time. One problem that I have with cookout restaurants is their drive thru speakers. Their drive thru speakers are absolutely terrible, you have to have a degree in linguistics to understand the mumbled jargon they are saying at the speed of light. I just spout my order out there and pray that they hear me correctly and I get the right food, but you know that isn't always the case. Overall, cook out is a solid 5/5 that you cannot go wrong with if you want cheap, easy, diabetes. My review has not reached 200 words yet so I am going to continue writing about this place until my review reaches 200 words. 200 words is a very long review, I have spent quite a long time talking about a cheap fast food restaurant. I know there are better things I could be doing with my time but its 8:32AM and I really just wanna level up on my google local...
