Passing through Thomasville Georgia at lunch time I wanted a buffet style lunch so I asked Google for buffet restaurant in Thomasville Ga. Thinking I would see a restaurant I knew. There weren't a wide selection to choose from so I thought I would take a chance on O'Neal's country buffet. It was a little off the beaten path, not to bad out of the way. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the parking lot was full of cars which is always a good sign. I parked and went into the restaurant and right away was met with a very warm welcome by the beautiful and friendly young ladies running the registers. I paid for my meal and proceeded to the bar to fix my plate. As I began looking over the food I could clearly see the plate was no where large enough to handle all the food I wanted to get because it all look very delicious. I stacked all the plate could handle and this is the one part I would have to give less than a five star for which was not enough tables to seat all the people that were there. To be far there was a lot of people there and it appeared everyone one knew everyone else. I began eating the food I had selected and everything I ate was cooked to perfect, seasoned just right and nothing was over or under cooked. I could probably go on and on about the quality of the food but I will just say it was very good. The pricing was on mark, not to expensive, and the service was exceptional. If you are passing through Thomasville Ga. and the time to eat is upon you you really need to stop in and have an O'Neal's...
Read moreWow! First time there. It was great! Got green beans (pole beans), rutabaga (is so hard to find this at restaurants). Grits (they were thick and delicious!, hushpuppies, sweet corn, greens, mashed red potatoes. And a boatload of peach cobbler, best since my Grandmothers! Also my sister in law insisted I try the ice cream. (I’m not a fan ice cream) but I did try it, it had a great vanilla flavor, also tried the banana pudding, this was the only thing I was not impressed with. Rather than pudding, it seemed to be more of maybe cool whip mixed with instant banana pudding and poured over vanilla wafers. I can see where some people might like this version, I just prefer to have the real banana pudding. The sweet tea was AWESOME! If you are ever in or around Thomasville, Ga. Treat yourself to this place. It’s not a fancy spot, but is clean and everyone I encountered that worked there was very nice and helpful Donald Trump immigration Trump legislation, online it says they are only open Monday-Friday 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM only, and that on holidays hours could change. Price was $14! That also includes your drink! They had fried chicken, swai , Tilapia. Catfish (almost got one just so I could eat the tail! Decided...
Read moreI don’t know if she’s the owner’s wife, but the blonde hair lady that’s at the restaurant in the front. Is so rude to her customers that’s got to be the only way I can see a person being rude to paying customers. She has to be the owners wife she rushes her customers to the side and rudely says you need to move to the side because I have other customers coming in. She’s very rude not a welcoming face well she has a welcoming face to certain people if you get my drift, I used to like eating there, but not anymore. It’s given more racist vibes for me not from everyone, but definitely from her. Please work on your customer service lady with the blonde hair in the front. It’s a way to talk to anyone. The staff I came across that works there seems hardworking and pleasant. The food is good and the staff is pleasant. That’s the only reason why I gave it...
