Quite dirty. Needs a good clean and hoover of the widow ledges and the floors by the walls. Waitress was lovely and tried her best to answer questions and find options for food but not many options for a vegetarian. the egg salad had non vegetarian mayo in it and the 'veggie' is literally just salad in a bun which is fine for some but if like me you want something with more sustenance it wouodnt be great. The main option a vegetarian could pick would be essentially the tomato sandwich without mayo. Which was pretty salty and pretty boring. Cute little place! I enjoyed my visit here. It kind of has an old timey 50s vibe to the decor which I found very interesting. Being greeted at the door as soon as I walked in with a smile was very nice. Blue Bell ice cream! That's always a treat. The only draw backs I found was the restrooms were a bit hard to find and tucked way far in the back. I felt odd running into the employees and all their storage back there near the bathrooms. The Scoop is everything you want in a mom and pop style cafe. The staff is very warm and friendly, the decor is minimal but very unique, and the food is amazing. We came for an early lunch and had Reuben, and Egg Salad Sandwiches also tried the chicken rice soup. Wife said it’s the best egg salad she’s ever had, my Reuben was pressed and perfect, the chicken rice soup was really outstanding.
