Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Thomasville

Use to love Ruby Tuesday however, they have went down hill! Food on the floor, employees walking by and leaving it. Bar was dirty, it appeared it wasn't cleaned from lunch. Service was awful, sat at the bar, took 15 mins before the bar tender even noticed or spoke as she was busy talking to a guy at the end of the bar. Apparently she was to busy providing him free Jim beam apple shots as she never rang up one of the 8 drinks she fixed while we were there. We ordered a beer and wine she charged me for a 9oz but it was less than a 1/4 of a glass as it was all that was in the bottle. We had to ask for menus, she stood there cussing, cash drawer wouldn't open and she was prying it with a knife, cussing over having to take a To go order. We ordered chips and queso it took 45 mins to get. However the one cook in a black puffer jacket was eating while cooking, talking on his phone and we watched his heat the queso up in the microwave then stick his pinky finger in it then taste it then trying to serve it. We ordered two burgers and ff. The one cook put the French fries in a bowl and set them in the window for 15 mins before the burgers were even up. Burgers set up in the window for 22 mins while the bartender talked to the guy at the bar she was providing free shots too. I had to ask her for our burgers and the ff were cold and soggy. I also watched the bartender make a customer a white Russian with Baileys irsh cream. I had requested an Manhatten she advised she didn't have the items to make it after looking it up. Now if they were busy I may have understood dirty tables and bar but there were 4 tables us at the bar ND the bartenders friend. Manager was in a tshirt and yoga pants, another Manger in a tshirt and pink coat, I spent 15 years working in the restaurant industry and I would have fired almost everyone there. Employees drinking on the job is a big no, taking selfies with other coworkers is a big no in front of customers, servers took a steak to the wrong table which tells me they don't know their food, bartender basicly stealing by providing free drinks. Even with the crazy awful service she even tried to not ring in the large beer we had ordered saying to just tip her for not charging us. I insisted on paying for it. Manager didn't seem to care and climbing up on beer coolers to do inventory while you have customers eating at the bar is not good either. So for them saying the restaurant across the street hurt there business is not believable. They aren't much better. They also blamed corporate stating they have to get sales up in order to get stuff they need to do there job. If corporate said that, then corporate needs to clean house and get a new staff who cares about sanitation, cleanliness and customer service! My family and I went in for Easter lunch. We were given a menu with the 2 for $25 list. My husband and I went to order from that menu and then was told that they no longer serve that menu and we could not order from it. So we ordered from the regular menu they had. 2 teas , a burger with fries and chicken tenders with fries and mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. My daughter ordered a Mr. Pin, Philly steak sandwich with fries and grandson ordered kids grilled cheese and side of grilled shrimp with sprite. They ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer. They bring our drinks, we have no napkins or silverware. 15 minutes goes by and the waiter comes by and asks if our order has been taken and he was the one who took it 🙄 So about 10-15 more minutes and the mushrooms arrive. Per the waiter, they burned the cheese sticks and had to redo them. 5 minutes later we get cheese sticks and I ask for ranch (still waiting on that ranch). They bring my grandson’s grilled cheese and fries out about 5 minutes after that but no shrimp. The waiter says it’s being cooked. So they bring out my husband’s cheeseburger and my chicken tenders. The burger was saturated in grease. We were waiting for my daughter’s food still. So after a couple minutes, I go to the bar area and ask about her food, the shrimp, honey mustard, ketchup and refills for drinks. The Philly was sitting in the window with no fries and the waiter says they’re waiting on fries to cook. 🙄 So he puts honey mustard in a cup, a little ketchup in a cup and hands it to me along with the 2 refills in drinks we needed then brings the sandwich and fries over to me like I’m supposed to carry all of that to my table. I looked at him and said I can’t carry all of this and am he says oh I got you and picks up the 2 drinks. We still have never been brought any type of silverware or napkins other than the couple I had asked for because there was tea spilled on the table. All in all we spent over $85 on one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had at Ruby Tuesday. 10/10 don’t recommend this...

An impromptu decision to go to Ruby Tuesday in Thomasville NC for lunch was decided. Between 12:30pm and 1pm. Our group of 8 people walked in and stood at the hostess stand for about 3 minutes. The restaurant wasn't packed maybe 15-20 people were already there. There was only 1 waitress on the floor. Doing her job to the best of her ability. Which is crazy considering it was lunch time. She asked where we would like to sit. We chose a spot and sat down. We were not handed any menu's or even asked what we wanted to drink. She simply walked away and said she would be right back. As we are sitting there about 10 minutes had passed. Still only her on the floor. And I looked around to find her. And she was taking an order for a table that had came in after our group did. We took into consideration that it was only her. But we just couldn't believe that she just basically ignored us. So our group decided to just get up and leave. We went across the street and had lunch at another restaurant. So we are very disappointed in how things went. And probably won't be back anytime soon. So everyone reading this take what I have written into consideration. And be prepared to wait longer than normal.

1-Three minutes waiting to be seated when it's not really busy, not a good start

2-Only one waitress covering the whole floor during lunch time, ridiculous

3-Taking someone else's order that came in after us before ours was taken, very unprofessional

If you have noticed in Thomasville NC, it's mostly pizza places, chicken places, or Chinese and Mexican places. Not to mention all the fast food places. Ruby Tuesday is one of the very few places we have that isn't really put into one single category that I mentioned above.

So I would like to say that I hope things improve. Because if it doesn't then y'all just might end up like your neighbor (Denny's) did. Closed down because of no business to sustain the need to be open.
