âââââ A Hidden Culinary Oasis â CrĂȘpe Avenue Shines at Southland Oasis!
Who knew one of Chicagoâs best crĂȘpe spots could be found inside the Southland Oasis rest area (just off I-94)? CrĂȘpe Avenue is an absolute standout in this bustling food hall, offering a cozy, cafĂ©-like escape amid the lively energy of a dozen other eateries.
From the moment we stepped up to order, the warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome, taking the time to explain their menu with genuine enthusiasm. The Coral CrĂȘpe was a revelationâperfectly tender, generously filled, and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. And the raspberry mousse dessert? Pure heavenâlight, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness to cap off an amazing meal.
For a rest stop, this place feels more like a charming European cafĂ© - proof that great food can be found in the most unexpected places. Whether you're refueling on a road trip or just craving something delicious, CrĂȘpe Avenue is worth the stop (and the detour!).
Five starsâweâll be back every time we pass...
Read moreThis seems to be a nice little unique gem of a food stop. Located inside the Holland overpass/Bridge where a food court style facility welcomes travelers along the highway with an adjacent "oasis" fuel stop and dedicated offramp. The ladies will make your food requests up fresh while you watch, and turnaround is quick. Portions are reasonable and ingredients of quality. Patrons stop in for items such as a simple Americano coffee to takeout crepes, sandwiches, and baked items including pastries. There are also weekly unique special menu options. This is definitely a worthy stop for a fruity or savory crepe on a tight schedule or passing through. Limited seating adjacent to this food stop, but ample seating a short...
Read moreDue to my business, I have to travel a lot. I have seen many, many restaurants on the different plazas in the States and tried so many different meals. But nothing can be compared with the Crepe Ave. The best food, excellent service...Raspberry crepe, variety of sandwiches, daily menu, I do not know where to start. Everything is so delicious, so tasty, that you think you eat in the best city restaurant. And really, this food is made in the same way like the food in the excellent downtown restaurant where you would break the bank for those meals. High quality ingredients and lot of love and energy is put in the preparation of the meals offered on the menu. I highly recommend this place and I am always looking forward to coming back and eating something. Stop by and feed your stomach...
